What a joy to see our list of candidates [View all]

As we all advocate for our favorites, let's never lose sight of what we do have. Yes, this field will be winnowed down to just one, so most of us will need to let go of whomever we support right now. But let's just look at the current top five (in descending order of current DU support):

Kamala Harris
Pete Buttigieg
Joe Biden
Elizabeth Warren
Bernie Sanders

Don't tell me that any of the can't beat Trump. Kamala Harris or Trump? Pete Buttigieg or Trump? Joe Biden or Trump? Elizabeth Warren or Trump? Bernie Sanders or Trump? I like our chances in every one of those scenarios! While it's certainly legitimate to support a candidate over others based on your assessment of their relative odds of winning in 2020, let's not say the others have no chance. Let's not do the Republican's dirty work for them by running down our candidates. And unless you have access to some kind of crystal ball, none of us truly knows who has the best chance. What we do know is that we will need to unite behind our candidate and work our asses off in 2020, and generating ill will by going negative against anyone on our team won't help.

It's going to be a lot of hard work, the election will be dirty because we see who the Republicans are... but I'm just thrilled that in November 2020 I'll be able to fill out my ballot with pride in whoever rises to the top of a stellar field.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
