Leaning in to misogyny so that we can possibly roll back the latest tsunami of misogyny doesn't work. We are lie the Ancient Greek whose humanity was reduced to struggling to a boulder up hill, only to have it roll back down as he approaches the top-and the "gods" expects that he must do this over and over again.
I watch the vilification of Anita Hill with an 8 year old girl, whose eyes teared up as she asked me "Why are they believing the man and not the woman." That eight year old has now suffered through some of the same indignities I did.
It is this slow seepage of the message of inequality that so destroys us and victimizes, our children, and our grandchildren. Sociologists tell us that we are unlikely to reach a no-discrimination human status for well over 100 years.
