Russia has lots of experience in media censorship. So perhaps it is logical that Rep Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI-2) hires an agent of the Russian government as a consultant to keep Hawaii media under control.
But Gabbards consultant, Chris Cooper of the Potomac Square Group, is no ordinary Russian agent. Cooper is allegedly one of seven identified as being at the center of illegal Russian lobbying efforts reaching into the Trump campaign and Congress.
Inquiries with Gabbards DC office last June by reporter Christine Gralowthen stringing an article for Honolulu Magazine--must have piqued the attentions of the numerous Hare Krishna cultists employed there. Within 24 hours a letter from Cooper, identifying himself as a consultant to Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, riddled with misspellings and inaccuracies, landed in the in-box of Honolulu Magazines editors.
snip==================================================================
Coopers website informs readers that he help(s) clients define and disseminate their narratives and client work focuses on interests in the US and Europe and countries that include Russia .
The New York Times buttonholed Cooper at the documentary showing and reports: Mr. Cooper rented the theater in the Newseum and declined to say who was paying his company.
Asked who paid him to write the letter to Honolulu Magazine, Cooper likewise did not respond to Hawaii Free Press. Gabbards FEC records and the Congressional Statement of Disbursements for the timeframe show no payment of campaign funds or Congressional office funds to Cooper or Potomac Square. Neither Gabbard nor her office responded to our query.

(86,818 posts)will you have a look at that. Someone was so sensitive about the truth that she outed herself within hours when a suggestion of "someone" was made. Now the truth is being revealed.
There was some saying about an awl in a cloth bag...

(81,518 posts)Excellent word play!
I happen to LOVE alliteration and consonance. Technically this one would be consonance because its first letter is a consonant as opposed to a vowel.
This is your Miss Priss moment!
And at moments like this, may I add that Im reminded of an old Peanuts cartoon where either Charlie Brown or Lucy concluded an embarrassing encounter with the assessment Im never quite so stupid as when Im being smart!

(10,721 posts)So, it seems Gabbard's gotta go is, in fact, an example of alliteration.

(8,208 posts)I've disagreed with Tulsi Gabbard's policies and thought that her response to Clinton was disqualifying but haven't jumped on the "Tulsi is a Russian asset" train because Clinton didn't substantiate her allegations. I thought most likely Tulsi was ideologically an isolationist, which happens to help Putin, but not deliberately an asset.
But I didn't know this.

(24,332 posts)Thanks for letting us know you have no leadership abilities and are unfit to be President or hold any other elective office or position of responsibility. It's hard to believe you survived a military environment.

This is information for a wider audience. IMO. It shows Russia's continued influence in out country because Trump did nothing.

(47,625 posts)But it IS about Russia. After 2016, Democrats have every reason to be suspicious of even the slightest appearance of Russian influence.

(14,593 posts)I guess we must watch who is being used in this way, and trust no one.
When we take back power, we really need to get the dark money out of DC, and harden our elections so people can trust them again.

(8,828 posts)As I have stated before here, a year ago traveling through rural Red South Carolina, I passed billboard after billboard of Tulsi for president. A year ago, plastered all over. Does anyone believe Democrates would be funding so much for her at 1 percent in an no chance rural red states? I called The Randi Rhoads show to bring it up, immediately callers from heavy red areas in Florida, and Ohio called echoing same dismay. Follow the money. Why would those rural red hats be so interested in her, from Hawaii? Why pump in DNC cash for a no win situation? They do not even believe that is part of America.

(21,596 posts)I was traveling on interstate 85 north in upstate South Carolina headed for North Carolina.
My first thought was of a third-party Russian asset campaign.

(8,828 posts)My trip was from WNC on 26 through Columbia then 20 to Georgia. From N.C. To Columbia I saw 12 billboards. The same on the return trip. That's a lot of cash to promote her through that area. If she comes out as third party, enough said. She is too much of "give Putin a pass" for me. Jill Stien was a component of trump win. Funny how she vanished after elections and NEVER has a word to say about environmental destruction from GOP. Obvious Puty puppet. Gabbert is Stein 2.0. When are we gonna take Clintons warnings seriously?
