Pure madness: Dark days inside the White House as Trump shocks and rages

Source: Washington Post

Trump has been asking people close to him whether they believe Kushner or his company have done anything wrong, according to a senior administration official. Two advisers said the president repeatedly tells aides that the Russia investigation will not ensnare him — even as it ensnares others around him — and that he believes the American people are finally starting to conclude that the Democrats, as opposed to his campaign, colluded with the Russians.

Still, the developments have delivered one negative headline after another, leading Trump to lose his cool — especially in the evenings and early mornings, when he often is most isolated, according to advisers.

For instance, aides said, Trump seethed with anger last Wednesday night over cable-news coverage of a photo, obtained by Axios, showing Sessions at dinner with Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees the Russia investigation, and another top Justice Department prosecutor. The outing was described in news reports as amounting to an act of solidarity after Trump had attacked Sessions in a tweet that morning.

The next morning, Trump was still raging about the photo, venting to friends and allies about a dinner he viewed as an intentional show of disloyalty.

Nobody in authority -- except Mueller -- is willing to stand up to him, and his ego won't let him to even consider the possibility that he has made any mistakes, ever. If he does get caught and convicted (fingers crossed), he'll be dragged off to Federal prison screaming, "NO COLLUSION! NO COLLUSION!"

I don't want to accept the possibility that the Orange Asshole will prevail, but after he got a pass on the Access Hollywood tape, my faith in the American people to be unwilling to accept unacceptable behavior was shaken.

Trump’s delusional, irrational behavior is a danger to the World. All we hear from Congressional leadership is.....(crickets) or the sycophantic Obstruction of Nunes and Russian partisan Rohrabacher.
Trump’s base still believe all of Mueller’s work will lead to indictments of HRC and the Democratic Party.

Sundowning is a symptom of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It’s also known as “late-day confusion.” If someone you care for has dementia, their confusion and agitation may get worse in the late afternoon and evening. In comparison, their symptoms may be less pronounced earlier in the day.

How can he not understand at this point that the Attorney General works for US, not him? He must have been told a hundred times by now. Loyalty to Trump is not part of the equation.
He is disassociated from reality. Surely there are 11 Republican senators who see this and aren't tainted by Russian money and would move to replace him with.... oh wait....Mike Pence. Right. Big stumbling block there.
Well, maybe we wait until after November, dump them both and end up with President Pelosi.

A Washington outsider with tons of business experience to treat the USA the same way he treated his businesses.

You know, to make us all rich, since that's what presidents are supposed to do for us.

The fact that he was a failed businessman, propped up by organized crime and thuggery beyond our imaginations, a failed human being, a loudmouthed but empty-headed twitter twit, seems not to have registered in the least.

Again, as long as he echoed Rush or Sean or Fox & Friends, and as long as he ridiculed liberals and Obama and Hillary, that was sufficient. Evangelicals loved him because, you know, abortion.

Bottom line, they still view him as a political novice and give him more cover than they ever would have afforded Obama, even though they incessantly chided his inexperience as a major drawback.

His going off the rails is something the MAGAts think is funny because they think it disturbs US so much. Wait til hell breaks loose. They may not think it's so funny after all.

... all around him and Mueller starts breathing fire and flames down his back neck. Then we will see the real trump meltdowns. Who knows what he will do or what horrors he is capable of once Mueller begins cranking the screws tighter and tighter on him.

Team trump is losing his very closest sycophants directly around the Oval Office as they are disbursing, disappearing, and disintegrating. Soon he will not be insulated by yes men and women surrounding him. If he has to deal with reality rather than his constructed fantasies he could become way more dangerous, unpredictable, and irrational. All his contacts and connections that keep him grounded and tethered to some extent will be gone.

That is when things could really begin to get extremely scary.
