Today seems like the most over-whelmingly depressing day thus far...
And we know that it is going to get worse.
But it does seem like the number of cases and deaths, although still growing, have slowed down somewhat? I'm hoping there is a light at the end of this tunnel.
Sometimes, it seems almost like a Biblical plague.
My heart tells me there are consequences when we rebel against the truth. Patience is tested.
But, if we do not remain strong and resolute, who will?
Keep the faith.
Waist Deep in the Big Muddy
Any number below 2.2 million is a great victory for Donald Trump.
If "only" 100,000 or 200,000 die, it will be incredible.
Nobody appreciates the great job he has done if "only" 100,000 die. It would have been 2.2 million if he had not stopped the traffic from China.
If by chance 3 million die, it will be somebody else's fault for giving him the wrong information.
He might even have to fire someone?
Newsmax is advertising all over MSNBC today.
I wonder who is paying for the ads?
I thought I had mistakenly punched in the wrong channel?
Strange and suspicious.
This is a challenging time when Americans must share and sacrifice.
There is no quick, easy solution. We cannot ignore this epidemic. We do not know how long it will take to defeat it.
Everyone would like everything to return to normal today. But that is not going to happen.
We have to fight this battle united. We cannot march off in different directions. We cannot defeat it if we are divided.
It is a very serious matter and we must address it realistically.
The President of the United States is very sick!
In the most pure, clinical sense, he is "sick".
One need not be a doctor or psychologist to see it. One only needs the courage to admit it.
Yes, for his supporters, he is a strong, charismatic leader. But, for the rest of America, he is not "normal". No normal person would behave the way that he does or say the things that he says. Especially during a crisis that challenges our country and threatens all of our lives.
A normal President would not seek to divide or to ask favors from Governors before he would agree to send life-saving equipment to their states. The lies and deception and the vulgarity of his inhumanity is not the sign of a healthy mind.
Sometimes it seems impossible to accept the truth. But we are at that point. It is not about Democrats or Republicans - it is about Americans. It is about our country and whether or not we can save it.
It is about whether our leaders can muster the courage to face the self-evident truth that the President of the United States is a very sick person. He is not capable of leading us in this crisis.
The experts have known he was sick from Day One and many have written about it. They defined his malevolent narcissism and all his destructive traits.
However, it was always a political problem. Everything was weighed in political terms. We now see his illness in the starkest of perspectives. But, what can they do about it? The indecisiveness and lack of action by our elected leaders is going to cost our country a great, great price.
Has FOX News changed the way they are reporting on the coronavirus?
Are they finally taking it seriously?
Or is it that just some of them are taking it seriously? Are some of their propagandists, like Hannity, Ingraham. and Dobbs, still giving FOX viewers ambiguous and questionable information? If that is the case, they are doing a great disservice to our country.
Until very recently, they all joked about how it was some sort of scheme to tear down Donald Trump, with the possible exception of Tucker Carlson?
We have to ask: How could any broadcaster, especially of the "news", be so irresponsible?

Have our trade policies made us a Third World country?
Many believe our present trade policies began with the NAFTA treaty that was negotiated between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. After that, the corporate agreements spread around the world. South Korea, Vietnam, China, the Philippines, and others. We are paying a price in this present crisis, they believe.
We seem to have shortages in all sorts of medical equipment, including masks and gowns. The ventilators are complex machines with small parts that are made in different countries. The whole idea was to save money on parts and labor for a better return for shareholders. Consumers saved money on a lot of products imported from overseas.
But, as they used to say in the '70s, when the producer names the tune, the consumer does the dance. That seems to be where America is with a lot of products. We are no longer a manufacturing economy. We are a consuming society. We can see that can create problems when we face a crisis like we are now facing.
If taxpayer money is used to bail out corporations?
Should taxpayers own shares in that corporation?
It seems only fair.
What is the argument against?
