Hollywood Hopeful

Republican Party is the Party for the working people of America?

Is that why they are against an increase in the minimum wage?

Is that why they are against the extra $400 per week for unemployment supplemental?

Is that why every single one of them was against the Covid-19 Bill?

They were against everything that helped the working people of this country.

It puts a lie to their claim that they are the Party for working people.

They haven't changed.

Do any of the "insurrectionists" have any regrets two months later?

I have read accounts where some are complaining that they are not being treated fairly? They have even screamed at the judge at their hearing. Another said he was "duped" by Trump. Another said he had learned his lesson and was ready to go home to Mommy and Daddy. One complained that he had to sleep with cockroaches.

Is reality beginning to set in? What were they thinking? Did they think they could commit sedition against our government and just walk away? Did they think they would get a pardon?

It must really hurt to be so stupid?

Old and in the Way

All of the insurrectionists should be released from jail...?

...unless Donald Trump is in there with them?

After all, he was the leader of the attempted coup.

They would never have been in Washington, in the first place, if they had not been invited by Donald Trump. He was responsible for inciting them to violence. He was responsible for the march on the Capitol and the murder of a Capitol policeman. None of it would have happened if not for Donald Trump.

While he plays golf everyday, the rest of them are rotting in jail.

It's not that they do not deserve to be in jail, it's that they deserve to have company.

There will be no justice until he is behind bars.

People should not have to stand in long lines to vote.

Why don't they fix that?

Isn't it about time to cut the sociopath loose?

Haven't you had just about enough of the insanity?

He has dragged this country and its people down in the mud and made us all less human in the process.

He has no admirable qualities.

He incited an insurrection against our Capitol and our democracy. He should be in prison.

America needs to clean itself of this steaming mess.

Look On Yonder Wall

Which would be worse for America ?

That Donald Trump and co-conspirators be charged and indicted for inciting an insurrection?

Or that they be allowed to escape any judgement or charges?

If they are indicted, it would likely create a political whirlwind that could lead to even more division, and perhaps, more violence? Is that a gamble worth taking? Is justice its own reward?

Or if they are allowed to skip any punishment for their crimes, will not people rightfully charge that some people are indeed "above the law"? Would that not do serious harm to our Constitution and our government?

This is a decision that must be made. Perhaps Merrick Garland has already decided?
