The FBI should offer a deal.

Those that followed the mob can turn themselves in and expect leniency from the government.

If they can assist in pin-pointing the leaders of this mob, other than Donald Trump, then they could expect no time in a Federal prison.

If they continue to try and escape responsibility, they will be hunted down and punished with the full extent of the law. They will be found.

Those that murdered the Capitol policeman and threatened the lives of our elected Representatives can expect no mercy. They are due for some hard time.

If you did not engage in the violence or the threats, then turn yourself in immediately.

That is the best deal you are going to get.

Are they trying to organize some huge march on Washington on January 17 or 19th?

The military should be there to greet them.

They cannot be permitted to even think they can do again what they did earlier this week.

I had read earlier that there were plans for a million people to come to Washington? That is a lot of people if their intentions are bad?

They should be prepared with the military if this threat arises.

At the very least, there should be numerous NG units from several states ready to move on orders.

It's a very sad time for America.

We have never seen anything in our lifetimes so despicable and unpatriotic and anti-American as what we witnessed by the violent mob that attacked our Capitol in Washington, DC.

Those that trivialize and minimize this attack as "peaceful protests" are out of touch with reality and are guilty of complicity and lying to the American people. They still want their viewers and listeners to believe it was "Antifa" or some left-wing group that desecrated the halls of our Capitol building.

They hate America and what America stands for. They give lip-service to the flag and American servicemen and women, but their actions and words show them to be as fake as their news.

The shock of it all is starting to wear off and we see the damage and the shame of it all. The place where Abraham Lincoln spoke desecrated by thugs with "rebel flags" and monstrous Trump flags. Destroying property with little regard for the sacrifice of 200 years of our history.

It is despicable and shameful beyond words. It cannot be tolerated by any American. None. It is that terrible.

And it was all started by the President of the United States. He encouraged and inspired and incited the mob to march to the Capitol, as he made his way back to the comfortable White House to watch it on TV. He enjoyed it.

The Congress should not hesitate to impeach. They should impeach as soon as possible if the Republicans cannot clean up their mess. There is little indication that they (Republicans) are capable of dealing with their treasonous members and their activities.

The Congress should begin impeachment, even if it is on January 19th. They should continue the process into the new Congress and get a majority to convict in the Senate, or at the very least, prevent this fascist monster from ever running for political office again.

Then, the Justice Department should pursue criminal charges wherever they apply.

Charlie Manson

Those people that violently forced their way into our Capitol building were no different than those Manson followers that forced their way into those homes and killed those inside. They said they were just doing what Charlie wanted. Charlie wasn't with them. But he was guilty. He spent the rest of his life in prison.

That person that incited and inspired those folks wasn't with them when they desecrated our Capitol building and killed a police officer, but he was just as guilty as Charlie Manson. He should spend the rest of his days in prison.

Trump was so much "out of character", it was disturbing.

It's like he just saw Jesus?

What happened to get him to change so dramatically?

Was it because he believes he is going to be impeached again? And maybe convicted? Or maybe not able to run for office again?

It's a puzzle??

He turned on the rioters, his most loyal supporters, as if he had never seen them before? Strange because, he was standing in front of them only minutes before the riot, urging and inciting them to march down to the Capitol. It was on nationwide TV. Did he think no one saw him? He wants them punished to the full extent of the law? Really?

Perhaps he is very fearful that he is going to be criminally charged? Four people, so far, have died as a result of his incitement. At least one more is in critical condition. It's understandable that he would want no connection to that.

He looked like Murphy, in the Cuckoo's Nest, after they had forced some mind-numbing drugs into him. It was like someone else. Someone you should never trust.

Did the rioters have a Facebook page or webpage where they discussed their trip to Washington?

That would seem like the perfect place to get their names and addresses?

And the names and addresses of all their friends who came to Washington with them?

It has been discussed for the last month or so, since Trump told them it was going to "be wild".

I doubt that they can hide for very long?

Can't You See

Donald Trump incites a riot and 4 people die.

He told them to march to the Capitol.

Then, he went to the White House and cheered them on. He refused to send in the National Guard to help. He wanted to "analyze" it. Pence finally made the decision to send them in.

He has blood on his hands. It was just a matter of time and everyone knew it. They are all accessories to a crime.

Republicans, such as those on FOX News and those in Congress, are attempting to minimize it and to trivialize it, but how can they after what happened yesterday?

Many are trying to blame it on "Antifa", as if Antifa goes to Trump rallies and wears their MAGA hats and march into the capitol with huge, obscene Trump flags.

A crime was committed.

Will anyone be charged?

America has a common domestic enemy.

It has recruited a large number of Americans into its fold.

Rational Republicans and rational Democrats must unite to protect America from this dangerous "enemy".

Ideally, it should be defeated politically, rather than militarily. Otherwise, it would be tragic beyond compare.

Contrary to the Constitution, the wishes of the majority of voters in this country, and the Electoral College, the Trumpsters wish to dismantle the Reagan Revolution and their long-established conservative traditions.

It is no longer about political philosophy. It is about a cult of personality.

For their Leader, they are willing to betray everything they have professed to be sacred.

No one should feel sorry for them. They have made every decision with their eyes wide open.

We should only feel sorry for the damage they have done to our country and our historical institutions.

In the strangest of bedfellows, moderate and conservative Republicans must unite with moderate and liberal Democrats to defend our democracy from the radical and reactionary Trump Party.

Politics must take a back seat to survival.

Rational people must unite to defeat this enemy. It is too strong to fight alone.
