Online dating scam (s)

Yes, I am still doing online dating and hate it for so many reasons, but I keep hoping someone and something real will turn up. I recently was involved in corresponding with a scammer...so am posting this as a warning to those like me who didn't have a clue about it. When you sign up at a new site, you'll often get messages asking for your e-mail address. Don't give it. It usually means the person asking for it hasn't signed up or paid any money to join the site. After first corresponding with one person, you might get quickly rushed with romantic messages, legitimate looking photos and promises. After a length of time, and after you've shared some private information, that person might ask for money. Never send anyone money, especially if you haven't even met that person. It's a scam.

Tip offs...if you can't get a phone number from them or any very personal information, don't correspond anymore and report said person to the website.

I haven't done any research on this stuff, but have to believe it's been reported.

In my American dreams

If I could dream for anything for this country, I'd make voting as accessible as possible. I'd prosecute Bush/Cheney et al for all their crimes. I'd eliminate the Defense Authorization bill that Bush and Obama signed, close down Gitmo and any private prisons in this country or others housing citizens who haven't been charged with any crimes. I'd dream about the whole truth about 9/11 finally coming to public attention. I'd take back all the rights to privacy we've lost over the years. Another dream would be to publically finance elections. No more vote padding and disposal of legitimate votes.

No more wars without public votes of support

I'd dream about more voices speaking up and against injustice, lies and media obfuscation.
I'd dream about a better way to travel, to board airplanes in an intelligent way.

I'll dream about another Obama term, and this time around, with great changes to what Bush/Cheney wrought.
I'd dream about a Supreme Court that was really just, impartial and non-political.

I'd dream about taking our country back from ignorance, intolerance, injustice and lies.

What are your American dreams?
