Jimmy Fallon joke (from Friday) on Trump delaying the election

Delay? How long of a delay?
Like months with your Coronavirus response?
Like years with your response to Putin?
Like decades for a hug for Don Jr.?

James Hong - over 600 TV/movie credits as an actor.

He's probably been in more movies than any actor in history

As of July 2020, Hong has 469 TV credits, 149 feature films, 32 short films and 22 video games to his IMDB page. That makes for a total of 672 credits, and a breathtaking legacy that will live on in Hollywood history.

Even at 91 years old, Hong isn't ready to slow down any time soon.

"Asians are beginning to do their own plays and own TV series and movies and getting big box office. So it's only a matter of time."

To please his parents, Hong graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in civil engineering. While working for Los Angeles County building roads, he continued to try to find work as an actor and comedian.

When Facebook and MURDER are funny

So I see this ad for a game. Looks fun. Basically Clue. We have been having game night during the pandemic.

Of course she instantly became “Karen”

Karen is going to burn the house down!

“And right here is where they found the victim’s body, after she burned down the killer’s cabin when she left a map hanging above the fireplace.”

This map will lead you right to the house fire...

Every time I see this I think the cow is some weird monster or ghost head.

the mystery of what insane crackpot decorated my living room like a Paul Bunyan-esque taxidermy nightmare

The trick is to solve the crime before the cabin goes up in smoke.

Oh Karen...

Im guessing the map over the fire is a kind of timer? solve the mystery before you burn to death?

Hunt a killer?
Found her!
She's the one trying to burn the house down.

I solved the mystery. It was some dumb idiot, in the living room, drinking too much wine, with a paper map just above the fire place that cause the house fire killing the four people inside.

Trump's Germany troops pullout may be his last gift to Putin before the election

https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/02/politics/trump-germany-troops-russia-intl/index.html

Little surprise, then, that the Kremlin is gleefully exploiting Europe's consternation, with spokesperson Dmitry Peskov telling CNN: "We never hid that [we think] the less American solders there are on the European continent the calmer it is in Europe."

Trump is the gift that keeps on giving for the Kremlin: his unpredictability, while often a pain, for them is continual grist for their propaganda mill.

Whatever Trump's motive, be it petulance or indeed a strategic pivot to Asia, as Esper has explained in recent weeks, the reality leaves allies rattled and runs counter to the US's long-term benefit; now those European countries must look to themselves for defense -- not for a quick fix, but as a major strategic shift.

He is simultaneously enabling Russian President Vladimir Putin, a strategic foe who is already on the offensive, while disabling allies vital in that same fight. It is a double own goal, typical of a US President who insists on playing by his own rules.

"Greyhound" Tom Hanks Apple TV - anyone watched it?

A couple of points:

First, it’s a short 90 minute movie. I wouldn’t say quick though.

It focuses on an important but rarely discussed part of war - logistics of getting people from A to B.
The Nazis had a field day off North Carolina’s Outer Banks sinking somewhere near 800 ships. That was regular commerce not really the war effort. War movies are always established as everyone pretty much being where they need to be. It’s like food - you just have to skip over that to get to the action.

A lot of action so not much time for character development. There’s something missing about Commander Krause that we never get solved. Hanks plays the character much like he did Captain Miller in “Private Ryan” - straight forward, by the book, no backstory at all.

The servants. This was a bit amazing to me. That there were servants (African American) on board US Navy ships and even a destroyer. Hanks wrote the screen play. There were several scenes in which the servants bring him his meal and there is, to me, a noticeable pause —- almost as if Krause looks at them like “What are you DOING here?” Is this necessary? They are totally at the peril of his decisions. They have no way of defending themselves or having a part in defending themselves. It was an interesting element to the film.

It's in the eyes folks! The Kayleigh McEnany Facebook FAN CLUB 😳

THIS is the picture they chose?

You have to answer whether you support Trump and what state you are in. Then submit the request. I don’t know if that’s a normal thing for Fan Groups on the Facebook. ???
