I try never to take it for granted that California is a blue state. You have to know that with our wealth of electoral votes and population, and money and glamour, the bad guys are longing to take it away. Even though I've seen stories citing the demographic changes here in which republi-CONs' registration dipped below 30% here, for the first time. NEVER MIND! These people NEVER give up. So we always have to remember the cautionary words that Mad-Eye Moody always gave to Harry Potter: "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!!!!" We can't EVER afford to relax and get complacent! Watch them try to make inroads with Latinos in the future - maybe using religion to do so. We CANNOT let that happen - here, or ANYWHERE!!!!!!

I feel the very same way. When we hear President Obama mentioning how he just got that call from wrongney. That, AND the weasel-worded concession speech. AND I want to watch her ladyship ayn of dressage try to stay poised. I thoroughly enjoyed every shot of sarah palin while john mcsame was delivering his concession speech. The pretend smile she was struggling to keep pasted on her face. Trying not to cry in public. After all that cocky and completely cock-eyed bluster she spewed all over the country with her squeaky voice. After all, she had an image to uphold.
I won't relax or stop worrying until that moment. Well, in reality, I won't relax OR stop worrying, completely, as long as there are republi-CONS and their koch brother owners walking the earth.

You're spot-on about this, too. These assholes don't give up and they don't go away and gracefully admit defeat. If anyone doubts, just take Roe v Wade as just one example. The Supreme Court SPOKE. Period. And that was that. But not to these bastards. They started chipping away at that ruling, relentlessly. They put everything into it, looking for ANY way large or small, to whittle it down, defang it, get around it, muddy the waters about it, whatever it took.
And look where we are now? Maybe three days away from actually seeing Roe v Wade's protections COMPLETELY WIPED OUT. The ruling overturned. Done away with. All that progress and all that work and all that revolutionary change that made the difference for ALL women - down the drain. Because if wrongney wins, that IS what WILL happen.
Needless to say, we're glad you're here and we need you! We need every last one of us to make sure that DOESN'T happen!!!

It's not an outlandish idea at all. Mainly because we know these bastards HATE the New Deal because what they hate most is a level playing field. They want it always lopsided in THEIR favor.
Despite their many protestations through the decades, they don't believe in playing fair when big money and power are involved. They'll try to sneak, cheat, scam, and stack the deck wherever they can.
For all their yowling about the sanctity of competition, they really don't want to compete. They want to run the table, drive the competition out, and own it all.
Even though many of them are science-deniers and side with the religious extremists who deny Darwin and carbon-14 dating, they're remarkably Darwinistic in their economic world-view. Survival of the Fittest, Only, and Above All Else. They don't see why a single penny has to be spent helping the down-and-out. Because the down-and-out deserve to be there, and besides, the only way to get rid of strays is - don't feed 'em.
They regard ronald reagan as the greatest president since Lincoln, and FDR the worst, whereas most of us would see it completely the opposite way.
They are the Cursed. The Damned. And they deserve to be. Mammon-worshippers. Worshipping money and power more than anything. THEY'RE the rightful heirs of those whom Jesus drove OUT of the Temple.

They have a strong interest in seeing republi-CONS win ANYTHING. Either the companies themselves or their parent companies. And remember, people like Bob Schieffer not only hobknob with the 1% in fancy cocktail parties in Georgetown or black-tie dinners at the Kennedy Center or some such. And people like Bob Schieffer get paid the amount of money that enters them into the "I Want Tax Cuts" sweepstakes. The country may lose, bigtime, but they'll always wind up winning something.

Glad you're here! Thanks for posting this and bringing it to everyone's attention. I am pleased to see that on MSNBC this morning, for example, they'd begun talking about that story about chris christie being wrongney's first choice for VP and then getting pushed aside for paul ryan. Sometimes you see stuff here first, and then see those stories pop up in the mainstream media. Not the so-called "lamestream media" which is actually Pox Noise.
