calimary's JournalYeah, I noticed that, too.
I'm genuinely sorry for his loss, but I'm just as sorry about the adverse impact he has on our nation because of his position as a senator. And I would not expect this "rethink" of his to last very long. Seriously doubt it's any kind of conversion or TRUE change of heart. If he's coming around on his thinking about us Dems, then some of his ideas need to come around too.
FANTASTIC!!!!! Will, that is just terrific!!!!
Gotta admit, it takes a lot to woo me away from writing. I love it. And I really enjoy it. I highly recommend you work at it. You'll discover that the more you write, the better you get. The better a writer you become. If you invest a little time in it, your skill will sharpen and come easier - it will really start flowing. Always keep a notepad with you, too, to jot down ideas or cool words or phrases you come up with or stumble across. You never know where the ideas will come from, or a way to word something just so, or a clever turn of phrase that you don't want to forget.
What's the name of your book? I hope you keep us posted as to its progress!
BRAVO!!! Congratulations!
Those four puppies crashed out on (and near) their bed remind me of my kid's band
after a big night out! ROFL!!!!!! DAYUM! Looks just like 'em! Ted, Matt, Josh, & Mike. Matt's the one sprawled all over the front.
LLLLLLLOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEE IT!!!!!
DUzy!!!!!!
And it says nothing about the horrendous murder rate HERE IN Nice, White, Christian America.
Seems to me it might be time to put the award-winning TV series "Roots" back on the air.
Should DEFINITELY be rerun, ESPECIALLY now. Alex Haley's "Roots." A masterpiece. Eye-opening as all-get-out. And when it aired originally, it set off a huge chain reaction of discussion and a re-examination of the black experience in this country, illuminating what they went through, the punishment and mistreatment they endured, their struggle, their suffering, their anguish. It shed a light on the ordeal of slavery and what a blight it was on our history - a sin so tremendous and grievous that we are STILL paying for it as a nation and a society. For us in the white community, it gave us a vivid picture of what REALLY went on, far beyond the glossy veneer of "Gone with the Wind" and "Amos & Andy" and "The Jack Benny Program" where all blacks were presented as happy wise-cracking servants like the character Rochester. It was so mind-bending and riveting and joltingly educational. We need to see it again, and watch it again as a nation.
Hey, ABC-TV - you ran "Roots" the first time. And the ratings were absolutely boffo, too, btw. Why aren't you scheduling it again?
Gee that's not Benny the Rat is it?
Yeah, I realize, he was in the Hitler Youth at approximately the time that photo was taken, but Benny the Rat did grow up to become Pope Benedict for awhile.
My Liberal Southern California Ass concurs!
