Glad you're here! As a reporter the conventional wisdom I remember was - "the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked." HOWEVERRRRRRR… that did not allow for some really sadly thick people who got hired onto reporters' beats, who didn't know their asses from grasses, or who slept through school, or some such thing…

DAYUM it was embarrassing sometimes. Granted, we all make mistakes. But when you're trying to make an "informed" or presumably "reasonable" point, you better have whatever ducks are in your general area - in a row. Otherwise it becomes easy to start generalizing what utter dumb-fucks tea baggers are, at their most basic.
