And sits there with her short hemline and her knees open and her dirty shoes on the furniture!

How tacky can you get, Kellyanne? Were you born in a barn? Were you raised in the baboon exhibit at the zoo? Did you have parents who taught you ANYTHING about propriety, modesty, manners, poise, or couth? Didn't ANYBODY ever tell you not to sit like that, if you're wearing an above-the-knee skirt? And with your shoes on the furniture? Where did you go walking in those shoes before you got to work that morning? Step on any gum wads? Dog shit? Fertilizer spread? Spilled coffee or Slurpee juice? Grease and grime from the street? Maybe you're tracking all that not just into the Fucking Oval Fucking Office but ONTO THAT EXPENSIVE FUCKING BROCADE-UPHOLSTERED FUCKING OVAL FUCKING OFFICE FUCKING FURNITURE????

Who the fuck brought you up, anyway, missie? Evidently, nobody with ANY class at all, that's for damn sure.

Welcome to DU, SaveToSay!

Yes indeed we HAVE to
A) keep the pressure on
B) grow the momentum that started with the Women's March
and
C) MAKE DAMN SURE WE ALL VOTE IN THE MIDTERMS - NEXT YEAR! (And of course, vote D.)

Seems to me he wants his country's longest-running adversary to step aside.

So then he can rebuild Moscow's control of what we used to know as the "satellite countries". It's Putin who wants to build a wall - like the one we used to know as the "Iron Curtain."

Putin wants to Make Russia Great Again.

Good resource, this thread.

I'd heard about some of those rogue sites, but it's nice to have them listed here, too.

Noting and bookmarking this.

Welcome to DU, FakeNoose!

Well, we have to look at what we know.

What do we know?

Umpteen different campaign friends and colleagues had Russian and Russian-related contacts or involvements. There's Paul Manafort, Steve Bannon, Carter Page, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, and now our new Attorney General Jeff Sessions too (Cory Booker was just interviewed by Kate Snow on MSNBC, and said Sessions was already being investigated for this shit, AND was one of many names on a list of trump campaign officials being investigated), and those are just the names we know about. There's also Wilbur Ross, our new Commerce Secretary who's also been known as the #2 executive at the Bank of Cyprus, Russian oligarchs' and strongmen's favorite place to launder money.

Plus family: Didn't Donnie Junior say in an interview a few years back that there was a tremendous amount of money coming in from Russia? Isn't Ivanka Trump close personal friends with Wendi Deng Murdoch (Rupert Murdoch's ex-wife) who is currently Vladimir Putin's girlfriend? And there's Ivanka's husband, Jared Kushner, his meetings (as senior trump advisor) with Russian ambassador and envoy people, and his real estate deals with Russian-connected investors...

Btw - in the link you also learn that Jared Kushner also has never released his tax returns.

And if you just start looking around, you'll come upon numerous articles referencing how he's had so many bankruptcies that American banks don't want to lend him money anymore. Hence he had to go overseas to look for funding and where he found it was with the Russians. Knowing his needy, narcissistic, celebrity-chasing, social-climbing nature, you've GOT TO know that when he set up the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, he would be insisting on meeting Vladimir Putin. He always wants to be seen with three kinds of people: people who count, people who flatter, and people who are decorative. Seems to me there'd be NO WAY he'd do anything that big in Russia without it including hob-knobbing with the leader of Russia. Bragging rights are important, dontchaknow?

March 2, 2017

Yeah, but evidently he hasn't whitewashed it enough.

Otherwise, what would be such a big problem about releasing his tax returns like EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE has, since this particular activity began, back with Gerry Ford?

Clearly he's of the opinion that any "cleansing" hasn't been thorough enough to pass muster. Which, then, tells us that his financial dealings are almost murderously complicated.

Having a candidate's tax returns open and available to examine basically answers the question: "who's yer daddy?" Who are you beholden to? Who owns you, since they've given you money, bankrolled your business(es), bailed you out of bankruptcy, covered your ass, or covered your tracks?

We now know, per Rachel Maddow's extensive report this past Monday, that our new Commerce Secretary is also second in command at the Bank of Cypress, which is well-established as the go-to bank for money-laundering for Russian fat cats and high-rollers looking to cover THEIR tracks. Is trump in there somewhere? Shouldn't we know? Shouldn't WE as Americans - whom the President serves - KNOW who's pulling his strings, and whose hand is up his back? Shouldn't we know to whom he's beholden, and how much of his ass other people own? And indeed, if so, to whom is he most loyal? To whom could we expect him to be most loyal?

We already know he turned to other banks, specifically Russian banks, for big loans after he'd had so many bankruptcies that American banks didn't want to lend any more money to him. THEY evidently regarded him as a bad risk. Why shouldn't we? And why shouldn't we know the full extent of that? In whose mercenary grip are his balls? And where does that put us as American citizens, when it's OUR interests he should be looking out for, first? Do his financial benefactors and "bail bondsmen" outrank us? Do THEIR interests come first?Do they and their best interests - pardon the pun - trump OUR best interests?

Remember - Putin isn't maneuvering on trump's behalf because he likes the guy. He has an agenda. He involves himself where he thinks it's in HIS best interests, and what HIS agenda is for Russia. Putin isn't in it for what might be OUR best interests. He couldn't give a rat's ass about OUR best interests.

And now I'm wondering - what does Putin do when an asset turns out not to be such an asset? Richard Engel was on MSNBC last night, talking about the widespread sense of buyer's remorse about trump, all over Moscow, starting from the upper echelons.

Welcome to DU, NewRedDawn!

It does provoke the question - "whose side are you on, pal?"

What's so beautiful to see is the NYTimes and Washington Post are hot on the trail of this, probably staffing up, and digging-digging-digging. Just like the good old days when the press was a watchdog, and not a lapdog.

There's no forgiveness OR excuse for the lazy-ass shit job they did, while mostly asleep, "covering" bush/cheney.

But they ARE acquitting themselves quite admirably here. Maybe they learned their lesson from that horrendous and near-criminal dereliction of duty. They let freakin' WAR CRIMINALS walk free. NEVER held accountable. Not EVER. Looks as though they're not willing to be so lax here, or make that mistake again. (At least not this time - maybe - for the most part - but we'll just have to watch and see.)

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
