calimary's JournalWelcome to DU, FellsPointLib.
This is a pretty shaky day, 'eh?
Our hearts were broken by an earlier prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald, who investigated bush/cheney/rove, too. That was a bitter day - when the bad guys won - again.
Welcome to DU, PupCamo.
I hear Yogi Berra's whispers in my ear: "It's deja vu all over again."
BOOM SHA-KA-LAKA-LAKA...
The Man Without a Soul.
Oops - make that Men.
Ooopsie again ... NOT Men. Lice would be more accurate.
Daaaaaaayyyyyyam!
And of course it can be flipped - if you (female) marry the right man...
Also can be adapted with the word spouse to cover all bases.
But I get it nonetheless.
NOT interested in Glenn Greenwald's take.
Yep. I totally get that.
Yep.
All I can say about Jill Stein is that she was, and IS, nothing but an opportunistic infection.
BOOM!
That kind of margin made the difference in enough key districts to push a whole state over into trumps column in the accursed electoral college.
Was it out of spite? A latter-day Sore Loserman effect? A pouting response? If I dont get what I want then just screw everybody?
I swear - I DO NOT understand how a voter who preferred Bernie would switch to voting for donald trump! WTF????? How ON EARTH was trump ever gonna meet a Bernie voters expectations or desires or priorities??? HOW in Gods green earth???
Im gonna need a lot of help understanding that one! And to those who deliberately went that way because they were pissed off that THEIR man didnt get the nomination, hows that workin out for ya? Please explain.
I'm a head-over-heart kind of gal. ALWAYS.
I learned the hard way a LOOOOOOOONNNNNG time ago. I learned that my heart will lead me astray. My head, on the other hand, stays un-fogged by emotion, but rather, clear-eyed, practical, and realistic.
I learned this in multiple ways, both personal and professional. It ALWAYS worked out better for me when I ignored what my heart urged me to do, and followed my head. In jobs taken or abandoned, in matters of love, and of money. Emotions do not factor into it. Same thing holds for politics. Last time, for just one example, I loved Hillary alright, but my HEAD said she was objectively the best by far. Maybe its different for others, but not for me.
This is what I worry about, politically, though. That old saying that Democrats fall in love. Republicans fall in line. Well, in that respect anyway, this Democrat wont be following her tribe.
For me, itll ALWAYS be head-over-heart.
