Anything Malcolm Nance says - take seriously.

He's one of the most credible voices in the "commentariat" these days.

If I were president I think I'd want him on my National Security team - if not its top-ranking member. He knows his stuff.

UNLIKE green kids such as that young Ezra boy. Yep. They wanted to keep him there for a reason. For their "eyes and ears" maybe? To keep tabs on the other staffers? To listen in on their lunch-room chit-chat? Monitor the gossip for dissenters - or people starting to have second thoughts or starting to fall away?

Whatever the case, considering this bunch, I'd expect the worst.

"A slim majority..."?

Well I'm not sure I'd write that lead line. Fifty-two percent for and 23 percent opposed? Another 22 percent on the fence. If you add up the no's and the not sure's, that's 45 percent. Anybody who won an election 52 - 45 percent would NOT have won by a "slim majority."

See how "creative" news writing can plant different impressions than the facts might show? You have to keep reading down to the third paragraph to find any actual numbers. If you just glide off the headline or the first sentence or two of the story, you're NOT getting all the facts.

Yep. Me too.

I've seen quite a few reports about this.

For example:

It's really sad how many lies some people (still) believe about Hillary. It's just damn agonizing. I read the comments on lots of stories - whether it's Talking Points Memo or the Washington Post, NYTimes or Politico or Daily Kos. It's STAGGERING to see how many people STILL believe this shit, and still hate her for things she's never done, never said, never approved, never attempted, never was part of. I've seen people still holding the Pizzagate child molestation "story" that was so foul and stunk up the joint so badly that even "true believer" Alex Jones had to eat his own shit and issue an apology and retraction. And yet, people STILL believe that baloney. From lying to treason to murder to kiddie porn to cannibalism. It's just FREAKIN' INSANE.

I just do not get it.

I can only guess it's because they WANT to believe it, because they WANT to hate her.

-- CANNOT have, or tolerate, an Alpha Female. Period. OR an "uppity woman." Damn her, she doesn't know her proper place!
-- Resent her success (I suspect that's the motivation for a lot of female Hillary-haters - many of whom may be operating on an unconscious zero-sum-game attitude, where if she's Wonder Woman, that must mean they're inadequate by comparison).
-- Hate her for doing better/being richer/accomplishing more/earning more/being more famous/having more clout/remaining so poised under pressure/living such an amazing life.
-- Cling to any misperceptions that are designed to lessen her stature.
-- Distrust her because, well, everybody they know does.
-- Chop her down because it's just fun to chop somebody down, and she's an easy target (all the work's already been done for you!).

I think there's a lot of psychological reasoning to explain the Hillary-hate. Just guessing here because I don't have a PhD but I've long been fascinated by human foibles, behavior, and motivation.

Besides, it just seems so damn wrong to use people like this. To use people like Bernie Sanders - for all kinds of dark-hearted, greedy, selfish, willfully ignorant, and/or short-sighted agendas. It's just plain wrong. And on edit, it must be said that it's GROSSLY unfair either to him OR to the people who sincerely put their faith in him.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
