Great to have you join us! LOVE that movie! And the subject of this thread goes along with it quite well. Truly - theater of the absurd!
Welcome to DU, father founding!
Good to have you with us! Damn funny! I can just envision that now. C'mon Mabel!
Welcome to DU, OneCrazyDiamond!
Glad you're here! Amazing, isn't it? I liked the comment upthread by libodem - how this just shows you can't manufacture a groundswell. I saw another post somewhere that observed - this is what you get when you live exclusively in the Pox Noise bubble. "Astroturf does not equal grassroots."
EXCELLENT!!!!
Bingo! Good point, libodem!
I bet you're spot on. Nailed it. Their movement is a bunch of paper tigers. Mostly on paper, too.
ROFL!!!!!!!
Now THAT is a good one, Plucketeer! Gotta remember it! "OH the FLACCIDITY!!!" I can foresee it applying all over the place!!!
Welcome to DU, knownow!
Glad you're here! Pretty amazing, isn't it? Hell, I wouldn't want to issue a video of myself doing that shit! Okay, I can see the guy shooting the video to get it out of his system, but after he finished - um - would he REALLY want that all over the internet? Maybe it's a prank, maybe not, maybe he's so pickled in general that he doesn't even care anymore. I've seen the antics of quite a few of these "citizen activists" on the far wrong, and it's amazing what they're willing, and even eager, to post as far as photos and video of themselves. Certainly answers the question "have you NO shame???" with a resounding "NOPE!"
Well, sheesh, makes me think back to the genuine hardships that the Occupy people lived with
and dealt with and coped with during some ferocious winter weather, and they stayed for weeks, and were strong and resilient and inventive and committed - and these spoiled entitlement-drunken pansy-asses can't even cross a rained-out street? They're "trapped in their campgrounds and can't get out"? And if so, where's the coverage of that? I'd expect that, for all the attention this side of the so-called aisle gets from the media, there'd be reporters all over the place digging up details about where the campgrounds are, getting footage of horrible flooding and valiant fording of rained-out streets and a make-shift tent city and all that. We sure saw at least a little of that coverage for Occupy. For Pete's Sake! And, of course, that's also assuming she's even correct and/or truthful. Which is assuming a lot, I'd suspect.
