calimary's JournalWil Wheaton has turned out to be a pretty good guy.
Liberal, opposed dubya, denounces limbaugh and Pox Noise & Co. He's also a Bernie supporter, as it turns out. He's well-enough informed that I'd guess he knows who Elijah Cummings and John Lewis each are.

I did, too!
During the tragedy in Ferguson, she was a strong, clear voice for justice and truth. What on earth happened?
So glad you wrote this, Amimnoch!
Thank you for this wonderful reminder! Much needed - at least for me.
Just - to the good. To the greater good. That's what it means to be a Democrat.
Sure seems like it to me. Not only acknowledged it, but gave them almost everything
they wanted on the party platform. And, now, too, DWS's head on a platter, for Pete's Sake!
AND, what bothers me a lot, mainly toward the coverage of all this - is that, whatever was said or emailed regarding oppositional research ideas against Bernie, this was TURNED DOWN!!! They ruled it out. They decided against it. And any read through a Hillary speech throughout the campaign would prove this. At NO time did she criticize or question his faith, for example. At NO time did she make any snide comments about him!
I would hope the protesters we saw getting ALL the press attention outside before the convention began were actually shit-stirrers, trouble-makers, and CON-trolls in disguise and with a wallet full of forged delegate papers. I can't help but suspect trolls at work. I can't believe that anyone who really believed in Bernie would actually boo him. Be rude and disrespectful like that to the guy they claim to support? How could they do that to him? How could they dishonor him like that? Seems to me doing that renders them deeply suspect. That doesn't make any sense at all. WWBD? Seriously. What Would Bernie Do? What would honorable, realistic, and thoroughly adult Bernie supporters, like those we see here, do?
What would the boo'ers do when a President Bernie Sanders told them something they didn't like? Boo him then, too?
Pardon me but that doesn't seem nasty at all.
What if he could get a Cabinet position? Is that a bad thing? I humbly submit that wasn't an insult. Or, at least, it sure didn't seem like one.
I'd actually rather see Bernie stay in the Senate where, if we flip it back to blue in November, he'd land a major-league committee chairmanship (as opposed to "ranking member" - where there's some serious clout to be had (and used).
He'd get some humdinger of a committee chairmanship, staying in the Senate.
Both he and Elizabeth Warren stand to benefit BIG-TIME from powerful positions - like the chair - on the heavyweight committees. They'd have more clout there than from the VP position.
That assumes, of course, that we do well enough in November to take back the Senate.
If I were there, I would NOT.
There's a time and a place for disruption and poor sportsmanship. I would not do that. Show respect to those speakers. To Bernie this evening. And to Hillary also, on Thursday. Let's all be adults here.
I share your pain, auntpurl.
You said, upthread, that you've been in tears for an hour now? I haven't been crying, but there's a knot the size of Trump Tower in the pit of my stomach.
Great points, Renaissance Man. Thank you.
Reading things like your post makes me feel a little better.
