Hey, Meadowlark, I've been where you are, candidate-wise.

I’ve had PLENTY of opportunities to post my grievances and reasons why - uh - let’s just say - why I will only vote for Bernie if he winds up being our nominee, because I pledged to support whoever is our nominee.

But Meadowlark, I totally get how it feels when one really and earnestly believe in someone, only to have them either suffer a serious setback or fail outright. It SUCKS! AndI know what it’s like to tell yourself to buck up and fight on, when this either means Bernie’s done or it will be a long slow miserable slog to the nomination.

We actually DO need you fighting. We need you in there. We need your brains. We need your strength. We need your resolve to do EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING POSSIBLE to get trump OUT. And we have only one more chance at it: through the ballot box. And it’s not only gotten so bad already, as we’re in our fourth year of this torment, but we don’t dare imagine how horrible and horrifying another four years of trump would be. For whatever’s left of our institutions, our faith in our government and in our Deity, and in ourselves!

This has become WAY more than a political party or a subset of a political party. This is our COUNTRY that we’re trying to save, and safeguard now. It’s even beyond that now. It’s the safety, security, and future of the whole world. Planet-wide.

I’ve found that sometimes taking a really long view of an over-arching objective can clear the head and remind, at the most basic level, why we’re all in this same fight together.

And Meadowlark, make no mistake. Regardless the name of the candidate, the objective is The Thing That We All Share. It’s what unites us all. It’s why Mike Bloomberg’s commercials from now are gonna be for Joe Biden. It’s ridding America (AND the world, for that matter) of the plague of trump.

Hah! I just was reminded of one of many lame-ass remarks Ronald Reagan made about how the whole world sure unite in a hurry if there were suddenly a UFO invasion. When one finishes trying to find one’s eyeballs after they rolled all the way up ‘n’ back into the back of one’s head over that one, it occurs that hey, Reagan had a point. Something like a UFO invasion might actually get everybody to shut up with their various differences and hunker down to deal with The Business At Hand.

And ironically, we ALL, across the country and the world, now face the same real-time, tangible two-legged Brillo-pad-headed existential threat. It isn’t invading little green men. It’s one big one. Colored orange.

I've NEVER understood the virulent hatred of Hillary.

And I won’t bother starting now.

They’re still at it over there.

It’s really sad. And pathetic.

Thanks for taking one for the team, bearsfootball516! You and Queen Elizabeth! (When she alone hosted trump’s visit to the palace a year or two ago, while the rest of the Royal Family stayed away.)

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
