Tell me something encouraging. I'm looking for a bridge to jump off of.
Not really, and I'm not making light of people who have these genuine thoughts on a regular basis.
Just some good old Lounge encouragement would be nice...
What are we really losing? Kennedy was the most unreliable 'swing vote' in SCOTUS history.
Good riddance.
The number-crunchers in admin want to move us to a clinic that has gotten NO foot traffic.
Seriously, they want to move our homeless clinic from a location six blocks from the homeless shelter, to a location that is far removed from the centers of the homeless population.
I'm going to have a little chat with the admin stooge whose idea this is, and give him a piece of my mind. The sheer nerve; If he wants to crunch some numbers, how about the number of patient we saw on a daily basis when we were cooling our heels at that location a year ago? We would see two to three patients a day, because none of our homeless patients could make the drive, take a bus, or freaking walk the distance to get there!
Change for change's sake. What a crock. If this shit keeps up, I'm resigning.
If ever there was a time for the return of Bob Boudelang, this is it.
The video of that demented Trumpanzee crying her eyes out over the unfairness of it all : "They're bein' so MEAN ta hee-im! He's tryin' so HARD!" This is the perfect 'stop saying that!' environment for Boudelang's particular brand of Presidential delusion.
And at least we could get some laughs out of it.
I just had to face down an enraged patient in the waiting room of the clinic.
I'm shaking.
Shit.
This never gets easier.
The manager asked me if she wants me to call the cops. I told her let our mental health guy have a crack at him first. We got him calmed down, but if he blows up again, it's Tacoma PD for him...
At home now, relaxing with a bourbon on ice, saving up energy for Friday.
Good evening, Loungers!
I love you all...
Hangin' at my favorite Greek restaurant.
The owner, Johnny, who is a good friend of mine, is not in a good way.
Recovering from multiple surgeries. He's in pain, but the cranky old guy is fighting back. He says nothing is going to put him off his golf game. He's a tough old buzzard. I love him to death.
Enjoying some friendship and human warmth amidst the hate and anger.
Senators Cantwell and Murray, and my rep Denny Heck are supporting or co-sponsoring legislation
to end the separation of families of immigrants.
I was very glad to hear that when I called their offices.
