Friday Night Tequila Buzz. Ask me anything.

I’m enjoying a Tequini, a Martini made with tequila. Tequila, dry vermouth, Angostura bitters, and a twist of lemon.

Tomorrow night: a Tijuana Speedball.

I love you all…

Enjoying a Brooklyn cocktail tonight.

Like a Manhattan, only with rye whiskey.

Can’t wait until this rye is gone. Just not my thing. I’m sticking to bourbon and single malt from now on.

Friday Night Gin Buzz. Ask me anything.

Enjoying an Imperial Gin; gin, lemon juice, lime juice, and club soda.

Yummy!

I love you all…

How I feel when I get a new suit with all new hot accessories:

Brand new bespoke suit with surgeon's cuffs and ticket pocket, hand-made shirt with French cuffs, silk tie, a cool pocket silk to make everything pop, silk suspenders, a nice pair of cordovan A. Testoni brogues, and slimline Skagen wristwatch.

What I feel like when I walk in the door:

Called out sick for tomorrow. Got a pounding headache. But mostly, it's just overwork.

I only slept about three hours last night, and I'm not optimistic about tonight.

Anyway, hoping some rest will do the trick.

The workload is taking its toll on my medical team. When I called in to my MA Supervisor, he told me he had just been diagnosed with bronchitis, and will be out for the rest of the week. Too much work and not enough rest is a powerful immunosuppressant.

I hate to complain to my beloved Loungers. But you are all always so kind and supportive. You give me the strength to keep going.

I had a crashingly busy and stressful day in clinic yesterday.

Came in to the office this morning and checked the day's schedule, and my heart sank all over again. They're trying to kill me, I swear it.

I got some help from an unexpected quarter: the weather. It started snowing about an hour ago, and I've already had two no-shows. I think I'm going to survive today after all.

Snow in November.

In the Pacific Northwest, we're having an unusual year if we get snow in December, so something is out of joint.

It's almost as if the climate is......changing...or something...

"Wednesday" Episode 3 just featured a rendition of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters"

for cello and string accompaniment.

I’m breathless with astonishment.

Incredible variation on a classic.

Finally enjoying the day off I've been dreaming of for weeks.

It's cold, gray, rainy, and blustery outside. And I'm inside looking out at all that from my window, in bathrobe and pajamas, enjoying a mug of hot chocolate, surfing DU, and loving being warm, cozy, and not at work.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

I love you all...

Enjoying a Thanksgiving Eve New York Sour.

I love you all.

All of my darling LGBTQ friends, please stay safe, look out for each other, I love you, and we will beat these monsters. We will do it together. And we will win.

Had a pharmacist call just now to get a maximum daily dosage for a patient's medication.

It's not the kind of medication for which a maximum daily dosage notation is usually called for. But the insurance companies have been holding up more and more hoops to jump through all the time, in order to wriggle out of paying for a patient's medication. I notice they still accept a patient's insurance premiums, though.

Anyway, I finally found a maximum daily dosage recommendation, and passed it on to the pharmacist.

"Max is 100 milligrams daily."

"Uh-huh. And how much is that in grams?"

"100 milligrams! It's metric! IT'S. ONE. TENTH. OF A GRAM!"

I need a drink...
