Tom ("Did I forget to beat my dog today?" ) Cotton is saying: "If history has taught us anything, it's taught us that Iran's recent unprovoked attacks on commercial shipping warrant military strikes of the most unambiguous nature. . . . This was Vietnam's lesson in The Gulf of Tonkin and Iraq's lesson with their WMDs. . . . If we don't learn from history, Margaret, we'll be condemned to repeat it."

"Register my dick while you're at it." . . . Please come CAPTION NRA's Wayne LaPierre!!!!

Wayne La Pierre is saying: "The Supreme Court and President Trump have to be made aware that there are multiple recreational purposes for silencers. Say your favorite hobby is shooting rats in an urban environment. Well, they're best hunted late at night and, you wouldn't' want to wake the neighbor, would you? Or say you like to use certain threats as part of a disciplinary regime for your children. You wouldn't want to continually disturb the neighbors with police visits, would you? . . . There's all kind of recreational purposes, why instead of flag-football with cloth flags, we could have . . ."

About skip fox

I am retired, now a professor emeritus at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I taught in the English department for 37 years. I've written 4 chapbooks and 5 full-sized books (all listed as poetry though many include other genres as well), including _Sheer Indefinite: Selected Poems, 1991-2012 (Univ. of New Orleans Press, 2012). I've also written a 500+ page bibliography of three contemporary poets: Robert Creeley, Ed Dorn, and Robert Duncan. I am writing now, both fiction and poetry, more now than ever. My first vote for President of the United States was for Dick Gregory in 1968 (Bowling Green, Ohio). Favorite quote: "It's easy to be an idealist if you don't have to mind the evidence, but no one said it was supposed to be easy" (Richard LaPauvre).
