jmowreader's JournalDerek Lowe has a list of HCQ trial results on his blog
Lowes Blog:
https://blogs.sciencemag.org/pipeline/
In his Chloroquine Update for April 6, he describes several trials that all have one of two common results: chloroquine therapy gives no advantage over the control group, or chloroquine therapy makes things worse.
Hes got one trial up where the control group was using Traditional Chinese Medicine, and even the roots and berries used in that protocol did better than chloroquine.
Id almost be willing to say the folk-medicine remedies Granny Clampett made on The Beverly Hillbillies would have worked better than chloroquine, but skunkwort and retchweed are in short supply.
I have a strange question about the US exporting masks to China
They make masks in China - probably a lot more than we make in the US. Why did Trump feel the need to export the ones we have here?
Proof it's a disaster in NYC: Sarge's Deli is temporarily closing
Sarge's is my favorite Manhattan restaurant. Its motto is "We Never Close." It was started by a retired NYPD officer who hated the fact that he couldn't get a decent meal when he was working nights, so he decided to start one of the first New York restaurants to operate 24/7.
Well...imagine my shock to find this in my inbox this morning:
This is a tough message to write just as it was a tough (but necessary) decision to make.
Starting this Monday (April 6th) we'll be closing our doors for a little while to ensure the safety of our employees and our community.
If You're Nearby Our Deli On Monday...
We'll be donating what food we cannot keep. If you're on the front-lines, especially in the medical profession, first-responders, etc. please drop by our Deli on 3rd Avenue. Give Steve a ring on Monday prior to coming so everything can be prepped.
We will of course let you know when we plan to be back. Until then, please stay safe, sane, & healthy NYC.
We love this city and cannot wait to serve you our delicious food soon,
The Sarge's Deli Family
The best part of the forthcoming Trump movie
At 1 Bowling Green, New York City, you will find the Alexander Hamilton Custom House. In it you will find, among other things, the US Bankruptcy Court for the City of New York.
The mid-course highlight of the Trump movie, to be titled "America, Don't Let This Happen Again," will be an overweight, disheveled man walking up the stairs of this building seven times as this song plays in the background...
