How to make your Sto-Fen diffuser fit your flash
I will soon need to take some flash photos under fluorescent light. Since I have Nikon F4S and 8008S bodies I bought an SB-24 flash. I got a FL-D filter, the Sto-Fen diffuser listed...no go, too small.
Easy to fix. You need a heat gun and a work glove. Simply heat the diffuser til it gets soft, pry it over the nose of the flash, and leave it on til it cools.
I think we all need a little levity right about now
And this one never gets old...
How to end illegal immigration once and for all
Throw company executives and HR officers in federal prison if their companies are found to be employing illegal immigrants. Give one week for each immigrant from one to 25, a month for each one between 26 and 50, and a year for each one past 50. That's for the first offense. (Also deport all the illegal immigrants, making sure to charge the company the full cost of deportation.)
Second offense: $100,000 fine plus prison.
If they're stupid enough to do it a third time, seize the company and auction it off.
Trump will never agree to it for two reasons - his biggest business supporters would be in prison, and if this system was in place in 1980 so would Donald Trump. Has anyone bothered to do an eVerify audit of his hotels?

I LOVE Robert Alford!
You'll remember for the rest of your life where you were when you hear of major tragedy
So...where were you when you heard about the Bowling Green Massacre?
I was in my bathroom having my morning Trump, and I was truly astounded when I heard about it. Astounded, that is, that anyone would come up with such an obvious line of bullTrump and expect anyone to believe it.
They were building on the Berlin Wall until two weeks before they took it down
In an LBN thread posted a short while ago, Trump's Minister of State Security, John Kelly, claims he can have the Trump Wall finished in two years.
Let's compare the Trump Wall to the last wall someone put up to separate two nations, the one Ronald Reagan stood in front of in 1987 and ordered General Secretary Gorbachev to tear down.
The Berlin Wall was 110 miles long. The part of the US-Mexican border we haven't already built fences on is 1,350 miles long.
The terrain the Berlin Wall stood on was flat as a pancake. Not so with the Trump wall's path.
Because East Germany was a dictatorship and had absolute control of the land around Berlin, getting clearance to build the wall was more a matter of Erich Honecker picking up the phone to his construction troops and telling them, 'go.' America is not yet a dictatorship, and there are probably, as we speak, hundreds of law firms gearing up to fight land encroachments on both sides of the border.
But more importantly, it took a hell of a lot longer for the Germans to build a hell of a lot less wall. On August 13, 1961, the East Germans closed the roads leading into West Berlin. The DDR went through four iterations of this wall; the last one took until 1980 to build. Once it was "done," they spent the rest of the time they had it up adding to its security, moving dogs around, changing panels, doing maintenance and everything else you might need to do to keep the wall impassable. John Kelly thinks we can throw Trump's 1,350-mile wall up in two years? I think they need to give him a cup and directions to the men's room.
Neil Gorsuch thinks employees should freeze to death
http://www.ca10.uscourts.gov/opinions/15/15-9504.pdfShort version: A truck driver operating in Illinois in the dead of winter couldn't find his company's authorized truck stop to fuel his rig. He pulled to the side of the road to look for it on the map. While he was pulled over, his trailer brakes froze. He called for roadside assistance, and informed them he had no heat in the cab. (His auxiliary power unit - which provides cab heat - was broken and he didn't have enough fuel to run the big engine just to stay warm.)
The driver then went to sleep in the back while waiting for assistance. He received a call from his cousin on his cell phone. At that time, his speech was slurred, he sounded confused, his torso was numb and he couldn't feel his feet. Dispatch told him to stay where he was. Instead, he unhooked from the trailer and drove the tractor to a gas station to warm up. They fired him for abandoning his load.
The court ordered his trucking company to reinstate him with back pay. Gorsuch didn't like this.
From Gorsuch's dissent:
And now you know why Trump likes this guy.
Trump immigration ban puts $20 billion in Boeing aircraft sales at risk
http://seekingalpha.com/news/3238812-trump-travel-ban-puts-20b-boeing-aircraft-sales-risk-analyst-says?uprof=45&dr=1#email_linkhttp://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/30/trump-immigration-ban-puts-20-billion-in-boeing-aircraft-sales-to-iran-iraq-at-risk.html
"We think the president's travel ban could have negative implications for orders from Iran and Iraq," said James Corridore, an aerospace analyst at CFRA Research. "We see these contracts as vulnerable to cancellation, though we also think it possible that the current injunction against the travel ban will be upheld, which could lessen the impact."
In announcing the Boeing deal on Dec. 11, Boeing touted the deal as supporting nearly 100,000 new jobs. Boeing is in the midst of cost-cutting in its commercial aircraft division and is facing tough competition from Airbus.
