Trump instructs federal agencies to cancel Washington Post and New York Times subscriptions

Source: SFGATE

"The Trump administration plans to cancel subscriptions to The Washington Post and the New York Times held by federal agencies, the latest sign of presidential displeasure with news coverage he deems unfair.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told the Wall Street Journal that the White House would instruct agencies not to renew their subscriptions to the papers when they come up.

She characterized the decision as a cost-saving measure, telling the Journal that "hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars will be saved" by the cancellations."

Want to strike a blow? Dump facebook.

"But that's how I keep up with friends and family."
"I can't LIVE without facebook."
blah blah blah

You were fine before facebook and you'll survive when they're gone.
You'll find another way.
TALK.
Text.
Something, anything.
But not facebook.
No longer.
Zuckerberg can creep away to one (or more) of his security guarded shangri-las, count his billions, and he'll be just fine.

Dump it or you're aiding and abetting the loss of at least marginally honest elections. And the destruction of our democracy.
I'm not exaggerating.
This is not hyperbole.

Cornier cornbread. Try this:

Substitute masa, corn flour, for the wheat flour in your recipe.
I use one cup of coarse ground corn meal, one of masa, and one of buttermilk.
Pinch of salt.
Purty damn good.

Ezra Klein's VERY persuasive argument FOR impeachment now.

For me this is a real eye-opener.

I just sent this to my repug congressman. Feel free to send similar to yours.

I'm just curious.
What would Trump have to do?
How bad does it have to get?

Your seat may be safe, so far.
That seems to be of primary importance in elected government offices today.
Safe at least from a Democratic challenger, working solo, because the state party is in a shambles.
But there are already Republican challengers.
If one would dare to not support Trump, I wonder what their chances would be in the 1st District? Maybe better than we think?

I'm appealing to your better nature and sense of dedication and obligation to the oath of office you took.
"“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3

I, Bradley Byrne, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

I took a similar oath when I was commissioned in the United States Air Force.
I meant it and abided by it.
Do You?

I'm in Alabama, hence the part about the state party.
It's a hot mess.
