Back in my neck of the woods...

High school student suspended for posting picture of dirty water in school bathroom

Hazel Juco, a senior at John Glenn High School in suburban Detroit, received an out of school suspension after posting a picture of discolored water coming out of a faucet in a school bathroom on social media.

Shortly after posting the picture, Juco was called to the principal’s office and received her three-day suspension for “inappropriate use of electronics in the restroom.”

There has to be a psychological or sociological term that explains...

Why Trump supporters believe that he's such a great "businessman," when by every conceivably objective metric, quite the opposite is true.

He's had shady business dealings his entire life, he's stiffed people when it was more profitable to be square with them, he's declared multiple bankruptcies has has failed business ventures in ways that others have profited, been sued by people he's cheated countless times, he lies and schemes and brags about things that he has no real knowledge of and has even written books that proves all of the above.

By any stretch of the imagination, he's a despicable person and without any moral compass whatsoever. His handpicked spokespeople are all ignorant and truth-deficient and even his own children are reprehensible human beings.

He's literally the very last person that should ever be elected president, and if he were this November, that just might be the case. And, regardless of what side of the political spectrum that one resides on, none of this is a secret.

The only thing that explains why people would do such a thing as voting for Donald Trump would be the fact that they're demonstrably ignorant, hateful of both Hillary Clinton and of America itself and are unable to conceive of consequences beyond their own noses.

So what do you call this phenomenon that explains his support? I'm sure that some of you can put a name to it. Dunning-Kruger, perhaps?

West Allis man points gun at police officer in dispute over lawn

West Allis -
All summer is how long Kim Murphy said she's had to look at her neighbor's overgrown yard.

Fed up, she called the City of West Allis. An ordinance states that grass over six inches tall is a violation and a $300 fine if the city has to come out and cut it. The city sent the homeowner notices about what was going to happen.

"So they came out that Thursday and he yelled at them," she said. "They left and came back the next day."

But the forestry department crew didn't come alone. West Allis police officers showed up too, to protect them from George Toeller.

"He's a loose cannon you just never know what he could've done next," Murphy said.

According to the criminal complaint, Toeller, 73, started arguing with officers about the city cutting his grass, when all of a sudden, he pulled out a loaded gun and pointed it directly at the officer. The officer was able to "push the gun up and away" to get control of it, take it away and arrest the man.
