st ronnie brought this all on by encouraging cheap imports and stifled wages to kill inflation. that is where the job hemorrhaging race to the bottom started.

if the mw had kept pace all these years it would be getting close to $20/hr. a whole lot more workers could afford to buy american if their basic needs were being met.

i love stonekettle, who was shared quite a bit here in the w years.
i follow him on twitter and fb now, and he makes me feel a little more sane w every tweet. all you tweeters should follow him.

anyway, he is also an artist. a wood carver.
he tweeted a link today to an etsy shop that sells his stuff.
he does have his own for originals, but these guys sell sk merch.
some great stuff.

that's what's supposed to be exceptional about us.

edited to add that, yes, we already have many aspects of socialism. and just as socialism is practiced differently in different places, we get to make our own version.
theoretically that would combine the best aspects of capitalism w continuing investment is every single person, from cradle to grave.
because investing in our citizens is the best way to both maximize capitalism, and make it fair and democratic.
