mopinko's Journalmy son the dr.
so, my older son doesnt talk to me. my ex got married last weekend, and the pics killed me. dont care about him. but 3 of our 4 kids were there, being their magnificent selves. a great pic of them, shared on fb, had me in tears. for all the grief i have had w them, they are the best kind of siblings. so much love and support. so proud of them all.
so, son has been in s.l.c., at u utah for several years now, working on a phd in theoretical math. asked his sisters a couple times about when he was going to be done, yada yada. no firm answer.
but i just found him on twitter, and he had a tweet saying that the hardest part about graduating was returning his library books.
yes, my boy.
anyway, so, yeah, mr phd.
he is going back to get an mba, because he wants to be a social entrepreneur. (and, i suspect, because he loves school.)
i think he got bored w math after he had digested it all. and all my kids are warriors. i love it, even if i am their first victim.
look out world. when this young man is set lose on civilization, there will be quakes.
so proud.
sounds like somebody knows a blue wave is coming-

- Painfully defensive from minute 1
- Uncomfortable / sweating profusely
- Shrill, often resorting to screaming
- Unable to reply to Sean without reading from his 18 pages of notes
Other than that he was great 👌🏻
so, my ex got married this weekend.
the whole thing is kinda surreal. he is def a very different person.
it bummed me a bit because i am alone and very lonely. but what got me was the pics of my kids together.
esp son who came in from utah, to mich. he doesnt talk to me. i havent seen him in 5 years. i barely recognized him. they were so awesome in the pics, hugging each other, sibling love extraordinaire.
they still all have good relations w him.
since they never did as kids, he didnt give a shit, and i did all the emotional work, well, it just sucks.
and this part is truly petty on my part, but do any other divorcees get jealous of widows/widowers? my sister lost her hubs several months ago, very suddenly. the family rallied around her, and did a lot for her.
the situations are very different, but sometimes i feel like saying- hey, over here, i lost my husband and my kids too.
but i got money, so i must be fine. the fact that we started an urban farm together, and he bailed, and i am trying to make it go on my own w bad health and no partner, yeah, but i got plenty of money.
she, and several sibs, saw the pics on fb, and didnt bother to check in w me.
just ranting. i'll be fine in a few days. but it was a low point in a 5 year slog. i dont think about anniversaries or any of that. but this was a little too in my face.
so, why was a tired salacious tape the first one released?
anyone else find it suspicious that this particular tape is the first one to come out?
need suggestion for some shady areas.
so, i acquired a new property and put out several things in containers in the spring to test how much sun hits where.
a couple spots that i thought got enough sun showed that things didnt grow all that well there. peppers and tomatoes grew very slowly, so i moved them.
a couple other spots things are doing well, or at least decently.
i intend to plant some fall stuff there. i already seeded some broc and brussel sprouts. if they get past the bunnies, i think they will do well. need to get some more containers for that to circumvent the rabbit explosion, then i will plant that up seriously.
also going to get some lettuce growing over there, where i think the shade will help it not bolt so fast.
but i am thinking about perennial crops that i can grow there.
i have some currants that are overgrown, so i am gonna gamble on those in the sunnier spots.
i can also transfer some raspberries over there. i have to pull them all the time to keep them where they belong, so that i a freebie.
if i can get my hands on some asparagus crown this fall i will try them out in a couple of spots. i had always thought of them as something that does ok in some shade, tho searching around mostly i am reading that they need a good amount of sun.
any advice on varieties? they arent cheap, and i will probably try some seeds, since i do have a long time line for this whole project. is the purple fussier that the jersey or other green varieties?
any good ideas from the brain trust?

michael cohen and sdny
so, i have been wondering why it is taking so long to indict michael cohen. yeah, lots of docs to go through, but they already had a lot of it. certainly they have enough to file a prelim indictment.
starting to wonder if sdny is gonna roll up the russian mob, and put a michael cohen bow on it.
i can hope, cant i?
ok, it's a long shot. but it is also the only way i have heard that
actually throws a wrench in the works, now.
change the leadership in the senate in a heartbeat.
please rt.
