Full video of the arrest of woman tazed while in a restraining chair

Wow, she was SUPER nice and very articulate! To think they felt it was necessary to choke hold her, cover he head, restrain her arms and taze / torture the crap out of her is mindblowing disturbing!

I want to point out that even if she had not been that nice this would not have been okay.

Republicans won't concede: They react to sweeping losses by attacking democracy

Matt Bevin hopes the Kentucky legislature will just appoint him governor: One more sign Republicans hate democracy

Republicans, led by President Trump, have been a united chorus of cries that any impeachment inquiry is meant to overturn the results of an election. But as they’ve suffered sweeping statewide and local electoral losses in the Trump era, they’ve grown increasingly unconstrained in their efforts to overturn unfavorable election results by attacking the democratic process.

Election integrity and transparency are two things that should engender bipartisan support. But it has been a long time since the GOP viewed democracy as anything like an ideal to be upheld rather than a system to be gamed in order to consolidate power. Their reaction to recent election losses, while hardly stunning, still manages to push the barriers of what a healthy democracy can reasonably accommodate.

In Kentucky, Republican incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin has refused to concede to Democrat Andy Beshear and has already requested a recanvass, to be conducted Nov. 14. If that process should reveal "sufficient" evidence of "irregularities," then the Republican-controlled state legislature has the legal authority to hear a case and decide the election. So at least hypothetically, the GOP can claim irregularities, get that claim rubber-stamped by a Republican judge, run the case through the Republican legislature, and then appoint the Republican governor.

Woman Sues Police After She Was Tasered While in a Restraint Chair

This is absolutely horrifying! Where the fuck do they find some of these people hired to be police? They are as dumb as rocks. I would feel safer if everyone else in the video was restrained instead.

Recently released bodycam footage shows Colorado cops tasing a woman while placing her in a restraint chair with a spit hood on.

Lauren Gotthelf, 34, was arrested in November 2017 for smoking in a prohibited area and walking her dog without a leash. Her service dog, Sage, which she has for emotional support, was taken to the pound. She was taken in handcuffs to the county jail.

She was put in a holding cell for three hours before being told she was being placed on suicide watch.

That's when cops in Boulder, Colorado, placed her in a restraint chair. They also covered her head with a special hood, called a spit sock, and tasered her.

Now she is suing the Boulder County Sheriff's Department, alleging they used "gratuitous and sadistic force."

The sheriff’s department told Inside Edition that deputies used the "minimal amount of force required to reduce violence and ensure safety."

Her attorney, Mari Newman, told Inside Edition, “Even if she were argumentative it is simply not legal or human justification for tasing someone who is totally restrained.”

Four hours passed before she was let out of the chair. In a statement, the Boulder Police Department denied using excessive force.

Which Trump scandal disgusts you the most?

Have to go with caging children and for some reason abandoning the Kurds and leaving a great ally to death, torture and destruction for HIS fucking monetary benefit really shook me. He is a fucking murderer to protect his fucking money! I don't have the energy think of all of them tonight but those two are seared into my brain and pretty horrific.

Was sitting behind my MAGA co-worker when the Trump Foundation news came on

I watched his body language as he knew I was watching too. Hard to explain but he clearly knew it looks HORRIBLE and that I was watching too. He shifted in his seat looking completely uncomfortable. I just could not resist and finally said, "Gosh, and the Clinton Foundation is still going strong after all those investigations with an A rating at charity watch. Quite the week for Trump adding this onto all the impeachment stuff. LOL!"

He clapped back that the Clintons were still corrupt but I could tell it totally got under his skin!

Charity watch doesn't even cover the Trump foundation but here is Charity Navigator

The Trump campaign holds a lot of contests. Does anyone win?

The Trump campaign has held at least 15 contests since 2018 offering the chance to win breakfast, lunch, or dinner with President Trump. Supporters are enticed to donate to Trump's campaign with promises of free travel, accommodations, and an "epic" meal with Trump at various locations across the country. An investigation by Popular Information, however, did not uncover evidence that anyone has ever actually won.

Dangling a meal with the candidate to encourage small-dollar contributions is a common tactic in modern presidential politics. Campaigns are typically eager to publicize these meals because: 1. They show the candidate interacting with average Americans, and 2. They encourage more people to enter the next contest.

Elizabeth Warren's campaign, for example, had a contest in July to "Grab a Beer with Elizabeth." Warren posted several photos of her toasting with "Mike and his wife Linda, from Elma New York!"
