Trump's team 'far more worried' about Southern District of New York investigation than Mueller

Members of President Donald Trump’s team believe his legal problems may not end with the Mueller probe, Axios reports.

While Trump has steadfastly maintained that Russia collusion was the only topic to be investigated by the special prosecutor, the Trump Organization’s chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg made an immunity deal with federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York and no one knows what information he gave up.

While Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani told Axios he was not worried, he also said he had not talked to the former CFO.

“I guess I don’t know for sure,” Giuliani said. “Somebody could’ve misled me, something new could’ve come up. Maybe say ‘reasonably confident’. That would be a better way of phrasing it.”

Axios reports that “people have told us they’re far more worried about the Cohen investigation in New York than they are about whatever Mueller comes up with.”

Special counsel Robert Mueller just filed a new 3,000-word sealed motion in secret subpoena case

The reporter posted a screen capture from the update showing Mueller made the November update as part of “Case Name: In re: Grand Jury Subpoena.” It explained, “The following transaction was entered on 11/20/2018 3:49:22 PM EST and filed on 11/20/2018.”

Politico has been following the secret subpoena as Mueller was locked in some kind of dispute with a witness, who is refusing to give up information requested by the investigators.

The information is all under seal, so it makes it difficult for the public to track any specific information other than, the filings and procedures entered into the public record. Because the witness is refusing to cooperate, a process of elimination can likely gather who the witness is not, but that still leaves a number of possibilities.

Finns ruthlessly mock Trump's claims they 'take care of the floors' of forests

President Donald Trump received a transatlantic smackdown after bizarre statements he made while touring the devastation of the Camp Fire in Paradise, California.

“We gotta take care of the floors, you know, the floors of the forest,” Trump claimed.

“You look at other countries where they do it differently and it’s a whole different story,” he continued. “I was with the president of Finland and he said: ‘We have a much different — we’re a forest nation.’ He called it a forest nation, and they spent a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things. And they don’t have any problem.”

President Sauli Niinistö of Finland denied the conversation.

“I mentioned [to] him that Finland is a land covered by forests and we also have a good monitoring system and network,” Niinistö said.

Meanwhile, Finns used social media to mock Trump’s claim.

Retired general calls Trump 'a failure' after president slams Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden

‘Disgusting’: Retired general calls Trump ‘a failure’ after president slams Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden

Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling on Sunday said that President Donald Trump’s treatment of a retired Navy admiral is “disgusting” after the president claimed that the former SEAL had taken too long to kill Osama bin Laden.

During an interview with Fox News, Trump lashed out at retired Navy Admiral William H. McRaven, who lead the effort to take down the terrorist mastermind.

“He’s a Hillary Clinton backer!” the president insisted. “It would be nice if we got Osama bin Laden a lot sooner.”

Hertling later told CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield that Trump had insulted a “true servant” of the U.S. Constitution.

“I’d use one word,” Hertling said. “And that’s ‘disgusting.’ You know, everyone knows Bill McRaven as being the guy that led the bin Laden raid.”

“Having someone like the president of the United States, a man that holds an office that’s supposed to represent all people and who says he supports the military, to just dismiss this great American hero as a guy who was a Hillary Clinton lover, which is patently not true, is just really disgusting,” he explained.

Top GOP adviser denounces Georgia's Brian Kemp: 'He cheated & undermined democracy every step of the

Atop Republican adviser denounced Georgia’s governor-elect Brian Kemp as a “hack” who stole the election.

John Weaver, a political strategist for former president George H.W. Bush and a presidential campaign adviser to the late John McCain, now works for Ohio’s Republican Gov. John Kasich — and he didn’t mince words when it came to Kemp.

“This hack @BrianKempGA is the next “governor*” of Georgia,” Weaver tweeted. “But he cheated & undermined democracy every step of the way. @staceyabrams should be governor, but isn’t due to actions that can’t be tolerated. She has a bright future. We need a new, enforceable Voting Rights Act. Now!”
