What do you worry most about in your personal life; terrorist attacks or?

I realized this morning that what has been worrying me the most are my two kids out of work, my personal health and where I'm going to plant tulips so the deer don't eat them. I forgot all about the threat of terrorists.

Oopsie - a little stumble on the way to the coronation:

"Even with Hillary Clinton in the race, 2016 is basically a toss-up

A new poll from McClatchy and Marist College documents that decline pretty well. In hypothetical matchups with potential 2016 Republican candidates, Clinton has seen her lead decline from 20-plus points in February to the mid-single digits today. She leads Chris Christie by six points after leading him by 21 points six months ago. She leads Jeb Bush 48-41 after leading him by 20 in February. She leads Rand Paul 48-42 after leading him by the same margin early this year."

"Photos: Ferguson, Missouri, Looks Like a War Zone"

http://www.newsweek.com/ferguson-missouri-looks-war-zone-264205

Sorry, Newsweek, but Ferguson does not look like a war zone to me;

this is a war zone:

Feguson looks like a place where there has been a massive police over-response to people demonstrating against police shooting an unarmed kid and a certain number of idiots taking advantage of the situation to trash and rob some local stores.

Will there come a point at which a politician doesn't need to spend the most money,

but rather, needs to spend enough money in the right places? What I'm thinking of is the effect of diminishing returns - most money seems to be spent saturating television (with fewer people watching and only so much time available), annoying people with robocalls, sending out flyers and posting signs with slogans, etc. Are we approaching an age in which voters are reached through the internet? On the internet, does it matter how much you spend, or whether people like ( or dislike) what you have to say to make the message go viral?I don't think Romney ever recovered from his 47% remark once it hit the Net.

I think Elizabeth Warren really got people's attention with her "There is nobody in this country that got rich on their own," of-the cuff speech.

I don't think either candidate spent a penny on those clips, but they're what I recall from recent elections.

Which is the greater threat to you and your family today?

There are people from both parties pushing the American people to approve increased military intervention in events overseas - the "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" crowd. Sometimes the claim is made that as "the most powerful nation on earth" ® we have an obligation to interfere to protect the innocent.

There are people in the Democratic Party who think the greatest threat comes form the 1%, multinational corporations, big banks, student loans, etc.

I think it's obvious where I stand on this, what about you?

Has anyone seen any info on who is financing ISIS?

Although, I think they took over several banks, so my question may be moot at this point.

My understanding is that they are now equipped with heavy artillery supplied by the US to the Iraqi Army.

Ok Lounge - a real challenge for you pet owners -

1.I wash our dogs in our tub, which is very old and has lost its porcelain glaze.

2. This spring was very muddy, and the sandy clay soil we washed off the dogs left a red brown stain on the porcelain.

3. Recently, we noticed a strong ammonia smell every time the tub gets wet.

4. The only thing we can figure out is that there is some old urine trapped with the clay stain.

So, am I correct about the source of the smell, and if so, how do I get rid of it?

Translations of Republicanese:"The Democratic Party is in chaos"

Translation: Instead of allowing Big Money to select the nominees, the Democratic Party actually uses caucuses and primaries! No one knows the result until all the votes are counted!
