Peter Raubal and Heiner Hocheger, the sons of Hitler's half-sister, Angela Hitler, have threatened legal action against anyone who tries to equate the late Nazi leader and Uncle, Adolf Hitler, to Donald Trump. Hocheger, now 68 years old and living in England, and the family spokesperson, states "hasn't our family suffered enough for the evil deeds of our Uncle? All the members of the Hitler bloodline have consciously made a decision not to have children in order to end the Hitler bloodline. We want to just fade into history. But that becomes more difficult if someone like Donald Trump becomes President of the United States. Therefore, the remaining members of the Hitler family ask that all comparisons between Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump stop at once. We reserve the right to move in civil court against anyone who continues to use that analogy."
Admitting that he can understand where the comparisons come from and conceded that the similarities, "in some cases are uncanny", he once again demanded that the public comparisons cease.

This is Satire. I'm sorry that anyone really took it as authentic, but I guess that was the whole point. If this story was about anyone else except Donald Trump, any reader would have known it was satire. But in Trump's case, it really could have been true. That goes to show you, how scary is this guy?
How is it that there are two orange public figures.............
............Trump and Boehner, yet they don't like each other.
You would think that representing such a tiny minority in this country, that they would at least support one another.
By the way, is one of their ancestors where they got the Syracuse University mascot?

The hacked emails will help Hillary and hurt Trump...........
......with a couple of caveats.
First, that there is no major bomb in the emails. If it's just the continued water cooler stuff, like who likes who for election, or speculation of where Hillary is stronger and Sanders weaker, either demographically or geographically, they'll be little or no down side. If it's just data, like who is most likely to vote for Clinton, it shouldn't be much use to anyone but Clinton. If it ends up in Donald's hands, or if it's public and he uses it to contact those names, he'll be exposed as a traitor and nearly everyone in the Republican Party will disown him.
The other caveat is the assumption that it's Russian government hacks. If so, it plays right into the treason narrative for Donald Trump and puts people like Pence and Ryan really on the spot.
Let's hope, if the hacking story is true, that it plays out this way.

Let's see if I can put this all together. Emails that are embarrassing to the DNC and the Clinton campaign are disclosed by Wikileaks on the weekend before the Democratic Convention. Putin and Donald have had this "bromance" for months. His Campaign Manager, Paul Manafort has ties to dictators in Europe, including Putin, through his lobbying agency. The Russians, by every knowledgeable expert's account, are responsible for the DNC hack.
I contend that Trump and Putin are behind this leak. Let's put it this way, I certainly have posted more facts and evidence for my contention than Donald Trump did in accusing Ted Cruz's Father of being part of the John Kennedy Assassination.
Donald Trump is a Clear and Present Danger
It doesn't matter what issues concern you here at DU.
We are now in election season. Donald Trump's daily outbursts and statements should scare everyone who loves this country.
Hillary is not the issue. Hillary happens to be the only person who stands in between the United States continuing as we know it, or hurtling into unchartered waters of a totalitarian state. Does anyone doubt it now? Don't think for a moment it can't happen here.
I always vote on hope and optimism. I always vote for the brighter future.
But this time, I'm voting out of fear. Fear of Donald Trump.
I know it's early, but this election will be decided in three states
Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
If Hillary carries Florida, she can still win without Penn. and Ohio.
If Hillary carries Florida and Penn., I can't see a pathway to a Trump victory.
If Hillary can carry all three, it will be a landslide.
Trump needs to carry all three to have a plausible path to victory.
I see these three states as the key to the election.
My Defense of Hillary Clinton for Libya Involvement
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the driving force to encourage the rebels on the ground in Libya to take out Mohamar Gadhafi.
I believe that terrorists who kill innocent Americans should be held accountable. Gadhafi sponsored terrorism that took down Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988, in the waning days of the Reagan Administration. Gadhafi admitted his complicity in this dastardly act on 2003.
Let's look at the facts. Many of Americans died on that flight. Some service members returning home for Christmas and students from Syracuse University.
Donald Trump now says that it would have been better to leave Gadhafi in place. Does he think that Gadhafi should have been protected for killing Americans? Did he ever meet a dictator he didn't like?
Let's look at the facts. The worst terrorist attack against Americans was on September 11, 2001. A Republican, George W. Bush was the President who was assigned to keep us safe. The mastermind of that attack was Osama bin Laden. Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton brought bin Laden to justice.
The second worst terrorist attack against American civilians happened under Ronald Reagan on December 21, 1988. Mohamar Gadhafi was the mastermind behind that attack. Once again, it was Obama and Hillary who brought that terrorist killer to justice.
Looking at these facts, isn't it clear that Obama and Hillary have proven to be a much better team in fighting terrorism and bringing perpetrators to justice than the Republicans, and especially Donald Trump?
This Election is Not About Clinton or Trump
For me, it never has been. It wouldn't have mattered to me if we nominated Biden or Bernie or Hillary. It wouldn't have mattered to me if they nominated Kasich or Bush or Cruz or Trump.
I agree with Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan on one thing. This election is about the Supreme Court. All other issues pale by comparison. There will be as many as three new appointments. The first one will tip the balance of the Court immediately. The Republicans are willing to publicly call Trump a racist in one breath, and support him in the next. It's all about the Court. They get it and we should, too.
Whatever you think of Hillary (and, by the way, I love her and always have), she will appoint Justices who will side with us on all the key issues. Citizens United, Civil Rights, Voting Rights, Women's Rights, Union Rights (my chief concern), LGBT Rights, Environmental Rights and the list goes on. We here, at Democratic Underground, as well as the Democratic Party as a whole, are a coalition of people who have priority issues. Mine is Labor. Each of these decisions break along party lines. The Justices appointed by Republican Presidents tend to vote against us, the Democratic appointees vote with us. Occasionally, Justice Kennedy will swing our way. We know that a Conservative, Republican justice will be replaced immediately due to Scalia's death. Our hero, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, most likely will retire during the next Presidential term. Kennedy is then the next oldest. So, there is a very good chance a Conservative, A Liberal and Swing vote will be replaced during the next four years. Those terms are lifetime, and usually run for 30 years.
This is no time to quarrel among ourselves. This is no time to debate issues that we can debate during the primary process 4 years from now. This is a time to look at what will shape our lives and the precedents on issues that are important to us for the bulk of our lives (or, in my case, the rest of my life. I'm 63 years old).
Let's keep our eyes on the prize. This is a once in a generation opportunity, either for us or for them. This really is a perfect analogy of "don't bite your nose off to spite your face."
I am working to get Hillary elected President. When issues come up, I won't mind disagreeing with her, after the election. But I know what's important right now, and that's the Supreme Court. And we only have one chance to advance our causes. That chance is the election of Hillary Clinton. Period.
