Days ahead of Indiana's May 3 primary, a new poll shows Democratic presidential rivals Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton neck and neck while observers foresee the Vermont senator's impact being felt long after the nomination is secured.
According to the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll, Clinton leads among likely Indiana primary goers 50 percent to Sanders' 46 percent. But that lead is within the poll's margin of error of 4.6 percentage points for Democrats.
The poll also shows Sanders with a greater edge over Clinton in a hypothetical general-election match-up against Donald Trump. The Republican front-runner has a seven-point lead over Clinton in such a square-off, but just a single point lead over Sanders
Also on Sunday, the Sanders campaign announced that it had brought in $25.8 million in April, with the average donation being just under $26. And while the amount is far less than the $44 million haul in March, or $43.5 million in February, the campaign still touted it as surpassing the average monthly total of $17 million.

Copy of a letter I wrote the campaign about the super delegates:
Bernie, Jane, Tad, volunteers and staff:
Here is a quote I saw today in a Huffington Post piece:
"Superdelegates shouldnt overrule the will of the Democratic grassroots, Wikler said. If the primary and caucus winner is Hillary Clinton, then Clinton should be the nominee. If its Bernie Sanders, then Sanders should be the nominee.
The full piece is here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/bernie-sanders-superdelegates_us_57269509e4b01a5ebde5f91e
To that I would humbly offer: It is my understanding to Supers were put there to STOP grass roots activists from doing what we are trying...I am sure it was Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who just recently told us this. Well that's the case, it will be on full display for all the world to see!!!!
Un-Democratic Party: DNC chair says superdelegates ensure elites dont have to run against grassroots activists

One thing about it...just like the last time this country was in this similar place...
the people eventually have their say. What did they expect would happen when they illegally threw us out of our houses by the millions, foreclosed illegally, thus stealing not only the home but all the money paid to that point for it? No one has yet been charged with crimes, no one has yet paid restitution to their victims to any significant degree, there have been no public shamings, no perp walks. Instead of getting better, it has gotten worse, and no one is talking about real reforms...except Bernie Sanders.
The reckoning is upon them.
What did the others really think was gonna happen?

Hey does anyone know offhand how many Corporations are Superdelegates offhand?
I'm just curious. Isn't interesting that they now have voting rights in our "democracy" ?
I, too, have a long history of trashing the Democratic party. It is called "tough love". nt

Does anyone know why Upton Sinclair would be not verboten in GD? Reason I am
asking is I saw a post yesterday about him, but couldn't find it. Looked and looked. Discovered it had been alerted on and subsequently hidden- both actions from a small but very active cadre of individuals. What gives? We used to be able to talk about him here.
