What's Mitt's cock got to do with anything?
Even if Obama was up by 10 points in every swing state poll, it's doubtful Rove would have used his Wall Street Journal column to do anything other than cheer Romney's chances, as predicting an Obama win would essentially amount to Rove admitting that the millions of dollars and dozens of frequently-dishonest ads run by his political groups had failed.

Chris Christie is Sending Us a Message.

If Chris Christie thought there was any chance in hell of Mitt winning the election, he would not have stated on Fox and Friends how little he cared about Romney's desire to get some political hay out of visiting the devastated New Jersey Shore. He was angrily dismissive of Steve Doucy's suggestion.
Christie would be hedging his bets a lot more if he thought Romney could win. The damage done by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey will take years to rectify. Any hope of restoring the shore and protecting Northern Jersey from floods will require untold billions in Federal aid. Thousands of New Jersey citizens have lost there homes, and in many cases all their belongings. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Jersey businesses have been shut down and many will not be able to re-open for months.
So if Chris Christie thought there was any chance in hell of a Romney victory, he would be sucking up to the next President of the United States, even while he courted favor with the current occupant of the White House. This is very telling especially if you consider that, as a leading Romney surrogate, Christie would be aware of the internal polling coming out of Boston.
Please don't use this as an excuse to not GOTV. We still need all hands on deck, especially if we want to keep control of the Senate and seize controll of the House.

Krugman on Romney’s FEMA gaffe: "There’s something pathological here."
Krugman on Romneys FEMA gaffe:
So let me just take a moment to flag an issue others have been writing about: the weird Republican obsession with killing FEMA. Kevin Drum has the goods: they just keep doing it. George Bush the elder turned the agency into a dumping ground for hacks, with bad results; Clinton revived the agency; Bush the younger ruined it again; Obama revived it again; and Romney with everyone still remembering Brownie and Katrina! said that he wants to block-grant and privatize it. (And as far as I can tell, even TV news isnt letting him Etch-A-Sketch the comment away).
Theres something pathological here. Its really hard to think of a public service less likely to be suitable for privatization, and given the massive inequality of impacts by state, it really really isnt block-grantable. Does the right somehow imagine that only Those People need disaster relief? Is the whole idea of helping people as opposed to hurting them just anathema?
Its a bit of a mystery, calling more for psychological inquiry than policy analysis. But something is going on here.

Mitt Romney's Terrible Horrible Very Awful Polling Day
It's the trends, baby, just like I said. This is a screenshot of Nate Silver's projections based on state polls reported back today. Those polls aren't pretty for Mitt. Ohio dropped out of the tossup zone and into "lean Obama" territory, along with Colorado and Nevada. TPM's PollTracker has been conservative for the whole election cycle, and even it crossed over this week, putting Obama in winning territory, albeit not by much. Daily Kos' Steve Singiser had even more bad news for Romney:
What's more: the one state where he did get some halfway decent data yesterday (Michigan) betrayed him today, as a new poll there shows the state quite a bit more comfortable for him than yesterday's Glengariff poll suggested.

Therefore it is logically clear -- GOD APPROVES OF GAY MARRIAGE!
The Hurricane was obviously sent because of "the Gay Marriage" and also incidentally the righties are saying will cause Romney to lose.
