Harvard Republican Club announced it would not support Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump

The Harvard Republican Club announced it would not support Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump, and called for Republican leaders to withdraw their support of the candidate they called a “threat to the survival of the Republic” in a press release Thursday.

In the scathing statement, the largest conservative group at Harvard cited “both policy and temperamental concerns” about Trump and condemned his divisive campaign rhetoric they say “is poisoning our country and our children.”

The Republican Club polled its members earlier this week and found that 10 percent of Harvard Republicans intend to support Trump for president, while an “overwhelming majority”—80 percent of polled club members—indicated they would not support the party nominee and 10 percent remained undecided.

“His authoritarian tendencies and flirtations with fascism are unparalleled in the history of our democracy,” the Republican Club said in a statement. “He hopes to divide us by race, by class, and by religion, instilling enough fear and anxiety to propel himself to the White House.”

‘Why is that lady in a cage?'

This is how the little girls who saw that will remember how they treated the first woman nominee for president.

“It is “not appropriate to be handing water balloons to little children and inviting them to throw” them at such a display, Tracy said. “I’m sure there are some that wondered, ‘Why is that lady in a cage? Why are they being mean? Why are they throwing water balloons at her?’ ”

Julin estimated that his group handed out about 400 water balloons during the parade.

As for those who might take offense, “I mean if they do, they do,” Julin said. “We believe if Hillary gets in, it’ll be bad for moving our political agenda forward. ... Also, it wasn’t just kids, there were a bunch of adults grabbing water balloons and cheering.”

Which endangered species should run for the hills this time?

For Republican leadership, a ‘new level of panic’ over Trump candidacy
Even one of Donald Trump's most loyal supporters, Newt Gingrich, says the party's nominee is in danger of throwing away the election.

..............

At past moments of crisis in the campaign, Trump’s children have played an influential role, but Bloomberg Politics reported Wednesday that Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump had left for a hunting trip outside the country.[/blockquote]

GOP Strategist Calls Donald Trump a 'Loudmouthed Dick' on Live TV

“Have you lost any hope that the GOP can reign Trump in to be more traditional?” Cooper inquired. “Or at least more disciplined as a candidate?”

“I lost all hope of that probably seven, eight months ago now, quite candidly,” Mair replied. “It’s amazing to me that anybody’s still having a discussion about having some sort of an intervention or bringing him back on message… This is his message. His message is being a loudmouthed dick, basically, and going out there and offending people and then engaging in a bunch of airing of grievances. That’s what he does. He doesn’t have another message.”

Megyn Kelly cried, “Must he help them?! Must he help them so generously every day?!”

............

Megyn Kelly really went off tonight after running a montage of all the past controversies he’s gotten himself into––including the one involving her––and giving the media more ammo with which to attack him.

She cried, “What is he doing relitigating every controversy from the primary season?!” Ben Domenech said the idea of the Trump campaign being in turmoil isn’t news because it’s kind of a constant.

Kelly also pointed out that, despite Trump bragging about it, ramps for the disabled are mandatory. Trump supporter David Wohl pointed out how expensive they are. Kelly literally buried her head in her hands and deadpanned, “Oh, good God.”

She said she understands that the media is biased against Trump, but, Kelly cried, “Must he help them?! Must he help them so generously every day?!”

OBAMA: It’s important that their dad is a feminist, because now that’s what they expect of all men

Glamour Exclusive: President Barack Obama Says, "This Is What a Feminist Looks Like"
BY
BARACK OBAMA

In my lifetime we’ve gone from a job market that basically confined women to a handful of often poorly paid positions to a moment when women not only make up roughly half the workforce but are leading in every sector, from sports to space, from Hollywood to the Supreme Court. I’ve witnessed how women have won the freedom to make your own choices about how you’ll live your lives—about your bodies, your educations, your careers, your finances. Gone are the days when you needed a husband to get a credit card. In fact, more women than ever, married or single, are financially independent.

So we shouldn’t downplay how far we’ve come. That would do a disservice to all those who spent their lives fighting for justice. At the same time, there’s still a lot of work we need to do to improve the prospects of women and girls here and around the world. And while I’ll keep working on good policies—from equal pay for equal work to protecting reproductive rights—there are some changes that have nothing to do with passing new laws.

In fact, the most important change may be the toughest of all—and that’s changing ourselves.

..............

As a parent, helping your kids to rise above these constraints is a constant learning process. Michelle and I have raised our daughters to speak up when they see a double standard or feel unfairly judged based on their gender or race—or when they notice that happening to someone else. It’s important for them to see role models out in the world who climb to the highest levels of whatever field they choose. And yes, it’s important that their dad is a feminist, because now that’s what they expect of all men.
