Folks: it APPEARS the most important part of the State documents are the distribution lines.

@emptywheel

They tie Lev Parnas into this effort, w/Rudy at center, including on efforts to get Yovanovitch fired (which obviously happened). They show, in part, that Rudy is NOT working for "free"

Who is Lev Parnas, the man at the center of Giuliani's campaign to find dirt on Biden?

Parnas, who calls Trump “one of the greatest presidents we have” and who has met the president at the White House and at Mar-a-Lago, has conceded that the way he wired the money to America First Action was “a mistake,” but told NPR that “it’s a whole misunderstanding that my attorneys are going to clear up.”

Global Energy Producers, however, has no listed office address or phone number, the Washington Post reported, and appears to have no ongoing business that could have generated enough revenue to support hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations to American politicians and groups.

Parnas himself has been sued multiple times over business and personal debts, the Miami Herald reported Tuesday, including by Dianne and Michael Pues, who say they loaned him $350,000 to finance a Hollywood film titled “Anatomy of an Assassin.” A federal judge in New York has ruled that Parnas must pay more than $500,000 to the Pues family trust. The couple are still seeking restitution.

“Mr. Parnas is a con man, he is a crook,” Dianne Pues told the Herald. “He conned us from day one.”

Preet Bharara: You know who got an even EARLIER account of whistleblower's allegations - THE WH!

Preet Bharara

@PreetBharara
You know who got an even EARLIER account? The White House — whose occupant is the subject of the whistleblower’s allegations.

Recap: Early on the Whistleblower first went to the CIA’s General Counsel with their complaint before they went to the IG. The CIA GC, almost immediately took the info - TO THE WH - and when the WB was made aware of that, they then filed a formal complaint with the IG.

EXACTLY:
"The [whistleblower] first had a colleague take his concerns--in vague form--to the CIA’s general counsel, Courtney Simmons Elwood, who began a preliminary inquiry by contacting a deputy White House counsel, alerting the White House that complaints were coming from the CIA."

Pelosi says Trump 'scared' of impeachment inquiry in exclusive ABC News interview

“I think the president knows the argument that can be made against him, and he’s scared,” Pelosi, D-Calif., told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an interview in her ceremonial office in the U.S. Capitol to be broadcast Thursday morning on "Good Morning America."

“And so he’s trying to divert attention from that to where [he’s] standing in the way of legislation,” she said.

“You say he’s scared … Did you hear the fear in his voice when you spoke with him on the phone last week?” Stephanopoulos asked about a Sept. 24 conversation Pelosi had with Trump hours before she launched the formal impeachment inquiry.

“I saw the surprise in his voice that he didn’t understand that I thought what he did was wrong,” Pelosi said, referring to Trump's call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. “That he was undermining our national security, that he was undermining our Constitution by his actions and he was undermining the integrity of our elections. He just didn’t see it.”

The Trump Organisation’s plans for a major expansion of its flagship Scottish resort by building swaths of housing and luxury villas have been thwarted, further jeopardising efforts by the US president’s company to stem multimillion pound losses at its most prestigious overseas property.

Donald Trump’s firm wanted to significantly increase the footprint of its Trump Turnberry resort, with his son, Eric, personally overseeing blueprints for a new housing development on landholdings surrounding the historic golf venue.

The Trump Organisation enlisted architects in an attempt to rezone agricultural land for development, pointing to the firm’s “excellent track record of investment” in the region and describing the proposals as “very positive for the area.”

However, The Scotsman has learned that planners at a Scottish local authority have rejected the Trump Organisation’s request to reclassify the vast tracts of farmland along the rugged Firth of Clyde coastline for housing.

Jake Tapper:A parental advisory for you:

“A parental advisory for you: In this block, I’m going to be quoting from things that the President of the United States has tweeted, so if you have kids in the room, you might want to mute the television…”

Pence updated & will self-delete

CORRECTION: I misheard this. Trump did not say VP Mike Pence was on the Ukraine call, but Mike Pompeo, which we already knew. I apologize for the error.

Anyhoo, I bet the president of Finland can’t wait to leave the orange weirdo behind and go home to his fabulous Boston terrier:
