My friend lives in the Schaumburg, a Chicago suburban area, and saw a Chinook go back and forth over her house about 3 times.
We haven't heard anything about this on the local news.
Kind of scary when you see a military helicopter over your house.
Any info would be appreciated.
Here's A Way To Put It In Fox's & Murdoch's Face.....
This needs to be worked on immediately and for sure be available before 2024.
All network and cable TV news programs and stations and all dedicated serious journalists need to begin working on documentaries and news stories about the Dominion v Fox settlement today.
There is enough material available (film footage; e-mails; pre-trial depositions; news accounts; talking head comments; etc. - to put a very damning piece together to show how the Fox Network manipulated the news and lied about the 2020 election and their non-program inside background feelings about the Big Lie and Tr**p.
Fox on-air personalities should be singled out and shown how they perpetrated the lies (Hannity, Tucker, Ingraham; Pirro; etc
These documentaries and journalistic written pieces need to go out everywhere and dominate the landscape to illustrate just how Fox lies to its listeners and makes things up just to satisfy their audience. They take advantage of their audience because bottom line they think less of their listeners and treat them as saps.
What needs to happen is to barrage the American People about how Fox does business - both what is seen on their shows and what happens in the Fox offices that they don't want their listeners to learn about.
I can see these documentaries being aired on all network news shows - like 20/20 and 60 Minutes along with snippets being shown on the Sunday shows like Meet the Press and Face the Nation.
These all should be highly advertised to garner the biggest audiences possible to watch these show. Particular attention should be mentioned in the advertisements that Fox Viewers be urged to watch these documentaries and learn how they were being deceived
Some Hollywood Studio might even want to make a major motion picture to portray why the lawsuit first came up; who fanned the flames of the Big Lie; how Fox portrayed the story on their broadcasts; the filing of the lawsuit by Dominion; the discovery for the lead up to the trial; the actual settlement; and any of the follow-up that we'll all be experiencing in the aftermath of this settlement.
How about a made-for-TV drama about this whole event.
Fox should be inundated with all these documentaries and journalistic articles about this event and have to spend all their time trying to defend the un-defensible.
Make Fox regret not taking the opportunity to apologize on their Network for their lying to the American People and their listeners. Don't let them try to put this all behind them and proceed on their merry way without learning their lesson.
Kia Dealer Slipping A Credit Card Surcharge To Their Service Bills......
I made an appointment today to take my Kia Soul in for service (basically an oil check and change). I just received an e-mail confirmation for my service appointment - with this bit of new information tacked on to the e-mail.
It reads:
As of March 1st 2023, there will be a 3.25% charge for credit card payments. There is no fee for debit card payments, cash payments or checks. Thank you for your understanding.
It's always been my understanding that a credit card is a convenience when you purchase something. If I don't pay my bill on time or if I pay only a portion of my monthly bill - the credit card company charges me interest and late fees if I don't make the payment by the deadline.
I've always come to believe that businesses accept credit card payments without tacking on a surcharge for a customer making a payment by credit card. I've always thought that "it is a cost for the business for doing business".
I'm terribly upset about this surcharge and I also question the legality of a business to add such a surcharge to their bill.
My eye-doctor tried to do this during the pandemic. I called him on it and said it was unfair to pass that on to the patient. I told him it was a cost of him doing business. On my next 6 month visit to his office - his credit card surcharge was eliminated. I'm thinking that he got an earful from other of his patients.
Aren't surcharges like this what Pres. Biden commented on in one of his speeches and was moving to do something to eliminate them?
I'm going to pay this Kia dealer with a personal check. Then I'm going to look for other Kia dealers in my city that aren't tacking on a credit card surcharge. I'm going to take my business elsewhere and never do business with this dealer again.
I'm thinking that other car makers aren't instituting such surcharges. I'm also thinking of writing a letter to the editor of our local community newspaper and putting it out their for other customers and potential customers to see.
What do you think? Is such a surcharge legal? Am I wrong for making such a fuss about this? Has anyone else run into such credit card surcharges? I'm curious to hear what others think about this.

We've learned that every chance they get the Repugs invoke the name of billionaire George Soros and blame him for funding all kinds of Dem campaigns and anything Dems do that the Repugs can use to incite the Repug base and use to take shots at the Dems.
Now - thanks to Clarence Thomas - we have a Repug billionaire - Harlen Crow. I say he's the Repug's own George Soros.
In my opinion - turnaround is fair game.
The Dems should make the Repugs 'eat Crow' (pun intended)
Like the Repugs use George Soros against the Dems - the Dems should invoke the name of Harlen Crow and use him against the Repugs.
The Day After The Indictment.....
So now we begin a period where all the MSM talking heads analyze the 34 Counts & the case being brought against Tr**p - and do everything they can muster up and take apart the case so as to provide the Tr**p lawyers with a road map to win in court.
This will be nitpicked - until and if - this results in a trial.
All the best lawyering advice that these MSM talking heads can come up with - will be listened to by Tr**p's lawyers and considered as they lay out a defense for Tr**p.

What Do You Give As A Gift To A Guy At His First Indictment Party?......
This a.m. I caught a glimpse of the fanfare that surrounded TFG at Mar-A-Lago last night as he delivered his lie filled speech.
I couldn't believe the staging of that event. It looked like a celebration thrown for somebody that just won an election.
Ballroom. U.S. Flags surrounding the dais. Greeting the crowd with handshakes. Even the My Pillow guy was there.
Surreal!!!!
They actually celebrated his indictment. Unbelievable!!!
After Today I Hope That Tr**p Will Be Haunted By The Ghost Of His Father......
and his father will appear at night in Tr**p's bedroom saying in a haunting voice
"Donald you are an embarrassment to the Tr**p family name".
Donald says to him - "Father - what do you mean I'm an embarrassment to the family name. I became a very wealthy man. I am a ladies man - a player. I've been married to many beautiful women. I've owned casinos and beauty pageants. I started a university. I private labeled cheap foods, wines and water in the name of Tr**p and sold them to rubes that bought the stuff because of the Tr**p brand I created. I'm their hero. They love me. I have buildings named after me all over the world. And father - I became the President of the United States. How can you say I'm an embarrassment? Father - I thought you'd be proud of me."
The ghost of his father answers him and says: "Donald - I gave you a start with my money that I left you when I passed. I was your role model and showed you how to make the money you have by taking advantage of the poor; the downtrodden; the people that built your buildings; the rubes of the world that will believe anything; bankers and even rich people. I taught you how to lie, cheat and steal. But Donald - how dumb are you? You got caught."
The ghost of his father will come to him every night for the rest of his life and remind him - that he got caught. And it will be this haunting that will drive Tr**p crazy - or more crazy than he already is. This haunting image of his father - will do him in.
I hope that Donald J. Tr**p sees this post. Reads it. And after he reads it - can't get this thought out of his head.

It's a sad day in America for the American People.
Why? - Because the MSM is treating this criminal like he's something special which fits into his narcissistic need for attention and feeds his ego and allows him the pleasure to continue to defy the laws of this country and continue to demand special treatment.
Come on - really? Live shots of him boarding his plane and following it out on the runway - the takeoff - and into the sky until they can't photograph it anymore.
If this is the treatment he gets then this should set the bar for any other common man that gets indicted in the future and they all should get the same treatment Tr**p is getting today.
No one is above the law and no one should be treated like they are above the law.
Tr**p is an embarrassment to this country - and because of the way he is being treated in the media - we deserve all the crap that he has in store for us in the future.
Apparently - we can be fooled more than once by this clown!!!
