Yorkie Mom's JournalAn Operative (George Nader) With Trump Ties Was Once Indicted on an Obscenity Charge
A political operative who frequented the White House in the early days of President Trumps administration, George Nader, was indicted in 1985 on charges of importing to the United States obscene material, including photos of nude boys engaged in a variety of sexual acts, according to publicly available court records. Nader pleaded not guilty, and the charges against him were ultimately dismissed several months after evidence seized from Naders home was thrown out on procedural grounds.
Nevertheless, the indictment raises questions about what the White House knew, if anything, about Naders past while senior officials were meeting with him. The Trump administration is already under fire for failures to vet members of the presidents inner circle. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Naders name has surfaced in recent days with reports that he is a cooperating witness in Robert Muellers investigation.
The Secret Service runs a check on every White House visitor, said Mark Zaid, an attorney who specializes in national-security law. It's just due diligence on the part of the White House to do a simple search, he said. That includes a check of criminal databases. Id be very surprised if they didnt know, Zaid said.

Reports that Nader is now involved in the special counsels investigation add a new dimension to the Russia scandal that continues to plague the presidency. The New York Times reported earlier this week that Nadera 58-year-old businessman and close adviser to the effective ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyanis now a cooperating witness in Muellers inquiry.

Hope Hicks told House Intelligence Committee she was hacked, sources say
Source: NBC News
WASHINGTON Hope Hicks told the House Intelligence Committee last week that one of her email accounts was hacked, according to people who were present for the former White House communications director's testimony in the panel's Russia probe.
Under relatively routine questioning from Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., about her correspondence, Hicks indicated that she could no longer access two accounts: One she used as a member of President Donald Trump's campaign team and a personal account, according to four people who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the closed meeting of the Intelligence Committee was supposed to remain private.
Hicks, who portrayed herself as not savvy in matters of technology, told lawmakers that one of the accounts was hacked, according to two sources who were in the room. It is unclear if Hicks was referring to a campaign or personal account.
Her assertion of a hack raises the questions of who might have compromised her account, when, why and what information could have been obtained. But there was no indication from any of the sources that those questions were pursued by the committee, which had limited leverage over Hicks because she was appearing voluntarily and not under a subpoena for her testimony or records.

Some humans amaze me.
I still remember you. Your cloudy eyes, your tumors, your frailty as you got up and down. I was only in my late teens but I remember you, you and the others so much like you. Gentle souls who were thrown away like trash for the sin of growing older. I remember sitting with you on the cement floor with young, barking dogs around us. I brought you a blanket and we sat and I stroked your ears. Do you remember my promise? I whispered in your ear that I couldn't save you, but one day I would save others. Other old dogs who found themselves in a shelter. Unloved. Unwanted. I remember you. And I just want you to know that I have kept my promise. I couldn't save you, but I have saved others. I have given them good food, a soft bed, and a lifetimes worth of love. Today I did it again. And I will keep doing it. For you. For the others I couldn't save. For the ones I will never know of. I promise.

I've watched this woman/organization pull dogs from high kill shelters knowing they would be hard to place, but as you can see from above she wants to make sure they have a home and know love.

basically CNN fired three people for what amounts to process errors on a piece that nine months later would be vindicated as an accurate story

dont get me wrong they may well have been egregious & fireable process errors - but pretty interesting that the core assertion turns out to hold up

Critically ill man 'former Russian spy'
A man who is critically ill after being exposed to an unknown substance in Wiltshire is a Russian national convicted of spying for Britain, the BBC understands.
Sergei Skripal, who is 66, was granted refuge in the UK following a "spy swap" between the US and Russia in 2010.
Police declared a major incident on Sunday after a man and a woman were reported ill at a shopping centre in Salisbury.
The substance has not been identified.
A number of locations in the city centre were cordoned off and the A&E department was closed.
