Ayn Rand's wildest dream came true.

Not sure what Alan Greenspan makes of the deterioration of the GOP, but I'd like to hear from him.

"Rand described Objectivism as "the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute".

10 years ago the "tea party took flight. Notably two of its biggest championship are gone - Paul Ryan and David Koch. But the damage is done. Two Russians seem to be responsible for the destruction of our democracy. Did Rand intentionally intend to destroy our country?

California (under attack) taxpayers paid for Elder's rise

He is going to win the Republican nomination next June because Republicans are radical here. But from reading about Elder's watch party - in my neighborhood of Costa Mesa!!! - his platform is homelessness, crime, housing, education *cough, *cough. That's bunk. And merely a ploy to appeal to the middle.

He surged ahead of better candidates because he already had a radical following. But our tax dollars paid for this unwanted recall that served to obliterate the moderates.

Is this a good or a bad thing? The methods of recall elections in CA has to change. It is too easy , too expensive, and is being exploited.

From the L.A. Times:

"But dominion over a small conservative “resistance” — dominated by a shrinking minority of older, white voters — is not a formula to return Republicans to power in California, said GOP consultant Mike Madrid. “You can say you remained pure in defeat, but that’s just a martyr candidacy,” Madrid said. “It appeals to a core group that is the fastest-shrinking demographic in the state and in the country.”

What I clearly see is a party of exploitation by amoral politicians and media con men. How long have we been a country of amorality? Old words like "scruples" are going extinct along with civility itself. We need a rebirth.
