My husband got his first vaccination.

He just became eligible. He registered online today and got an appointment right away. What a surprise! He had Moderna and feels fine so far. Didn't even feel the needle.

I'm not eligible yet. But he does the grocery shopping, so he's out more than I am. I can't tell you how relieved I am that he's on his way to full vaccination!

I changed my name!

Thanks to you, I was able to decide!

piddyprints and Syllabub both got 2 votes. And they were actually my favorites. So here's what I've decided: My new username here is piddyprints and my next kitteh's name will be Syllabub!

Thank you so much!

I want to change my username.

It's outdated. My daughter (one of the Airmen) has retired after 20 years. She divorced her husband (the other of the Airmen) several years ago. And they've both gone to the dark side. Besides that, most people assume from my username that I have a son, which I do not.

I thought it would be fun to have a name that will never wear out. For me, that's something to do with kittehs.

Here are some of my ideas:

1) piddyprints: Cartoon Tweety used to say, "this little piddy went to market ..." as he peeled Sylvester's paws off his cage. So we have always referred to paw prints as piddyprints. It's what they leave on the coffee table and our hearts.

2) Grizabella: From the Cats musical, the old washed up kitty who is shunned from leaving the fold. She gets chosen to go to the Heaviside Layer. This one seems sort of sad, but not altogether inaccurate ... at least the first part.

3) Syllabub: Double meaning here. She's a kitten from Cats, who is alternately called Jemima. It's also a sort of dessert drink that I've never had before.

4) Jellylorum: Named after T.S. Elliot's cat. She's older and more maternal than most of the others.

OK, that's a bit Cat-heavy. That's the point. My cats have helped me through the hell that Republicans keep foisting on our country, time after time. So why not make my username cat-themed?

Suggestions? Opinions? Are they all too stupid?

Take your time. I have to go scoop litter boxes.

Update: I posted a new thread saying that I decided on piddyprints, but I will name my next kitteh Syllabub. Thank you all!

I wonder if MF45's lawyers will quit,

Now that it’s clear it’s more than a 3-day gig and they know they probably won’t get paid. No matter what happens at this point, they can’t win. Sucks to be them. They should have left the snake alone.

Thanks for the heart!

I have no idea who you are, but thank you. It really brightened my day.
