You Can Still Donate To Avenatti's PAC

If you like the way he fights, don't forget, he is running The Fight PAC.

The Act Blue donation page for Avenatti's PAC is here:

https://secure.actblue.com/donate/the-fight-pac-1

The first quarterly report was filed two days ago:

http://docquery.fec.gov/pdf/568/201810159125003568/201810159125003568.pdf

11907.98 in receipts

7804.78 in disbursements

Of that 7.8k in disbursements, the lion's share are to:

Act Blue (various amounts)

Break Something (internet advertising) $4500

NGP Van (database provider) $1000

Adam Parkhomenko (travel) $1491

Then there are a bunch of rides on Lyft and some shipping charges.

Advertising is more than half the disbursements so far, so its going to take a whole lot more money before the PAC can start directly supporting candidates.

Pony up.

Can You Guess The Party Affiliation Of The Only Cherokee Member in Congress?

Go ahead, I'll wait. Flip a coin if you have to.

The patronizing "noble savage" view of Native Americans prevalent at DU is as much of a racial stereotype as anything else.

There is one Cherokee member in Congress - Rep. Markwayne Mullin. He is an enrolled Cherokee and a vocal Trump supporter.

https://twitter.com/MarkwayneMullin/status/994614607753998338

Persons of Cherokee ancestry form a substantial portion of the population of Oklahoma, and vote thusly:

2008:

2012:

2016:

That a Cherokee elected official would come out with a criticism of Warren, for merely defending herself against Trump's "Pocahontas" routine is not surprising.

What is surprising is the manner in which he transparently managed to turn it into yet another claim that Warren was somehow attempting to secure unspecified benefits in the process.

Wherein Mike Ramone Removes All Doubt About What A Dickhead He Is

Typical scumbaggery from Mike Ramone:

https://bluedelaware.com/2018/09/24/mike-ramone-doesnt-like-having-an-opponent/

Long story short - his opponent in this election was employed by a non-profit. So, on the basis of Ramone's "concern" about endorsements over a Facebook post which was as innocuous as it was ambiguous, he threatens the non-profits grant-in-aid funding, prompting the non-profit to fire his opponent.

What a supreme dickhead. Ramone once told me he "wasn't that kind of Republican", but it is beyond obvious that he most certainly is.

Meet Delaware's GOP candidate for the United States House of Representatives

This guy won the Delaware GOP primary race for US Representative last night:

https://www.delaware1059.com/news/scott-walker-seeks-sober-house-as-he-prepares-another-run/article_37c919e4-1633-11e8-b380-df943511454b.html

Scott Walker seeks sober house as he prepares another run for Congress in Delaware

"I need help with my addiction, right now" said Walker "I don't want to go through another night, I've have too much at stake. The people of Delaware would expect me to be in tip-top shape." Walker said he was seeking a sober living house in Georgetown. "It doesn't even have to be a bed. It can be on the floor, the couch, anything. I just need to be around people that I feel safe around, because that's what I need right now. I live with my wife, but I've not been able to conquer my alcoholism."

Walker said he couldn't afford rent for the sober living house, but several times said he is actively working on fundraising a campaign for Congress.

But, hey, why let being drunk get in the way of your campaign. He didn't find a sober house, but he DID win the primary:

Scott Walker wins Republican primary for Congress in Delaware

While many considered his campaign unorthodox, Scott Walker was able to pull out enough votes Thursday night to secure a win in Delaware's Republican primary for Congress.

As voter results rolled in from the Delaware Department of Elections, Walker saw a lead early on that eventually led to a victory over his opponent Lee Murphy, who previously appeared on the former Netflix series House of Cards, by a vote of 19,572 to 17,359.

"I'm very honored and humbled by support I have received, especially in Sussex County, and this just goes to show [you] what the power of prayer will do," Walker said. "I've got to get some rest tonight because early tomorrow morning I've gotta go to the east side of Wilmington and start hanging signs."

His signs, by the way, are hilarious.

He makes them himself out of scrap wood, paints his name and random slogans on them like "cut taxes" or "legal weed", and nails them to whatever is available (and often unwelcome, as he keeps accumulating fines).

No convertible for the parade? No problem......

"Lodestar" is not the most common word

https://www.vsotd.com/featured-speech/vigilance-and-resolve-will-be-our-lodestar

Vigilance and Resolve Will Be Our Lodestar
"The United States of America will soon unveil the toughest and most aggressive round of economic sanctions on North Korea ever."
Address by Mike Pence, Vice President, United States of America
Delivered at the Kantei, Tokyo on February 7, 2018

---

We may no longer have Senator McCain. But we will always have his example — a lodestar for restoring honor to public life

---

Interestingly, this line was delivered by Henry Kissinger at McCain's funeral:

Honor was John’s lodestar.
