Funny not funny watching the "not all white people" crowd
now try to defend white kids' taunting and mocking a Native American because 5 black people talked sh!t to them earlier.
White people are each and all individuals and can never ever ever be characterized or discussed as a group, but black and brown people are fungible and responsible for each others' words and actions, and, thus, the bad behavior of a half dozen black people justifies the abuse of a completely different and unrelated group of brown people.
This would be hilarious if it weren't so pathetic and damaging.
Why aren't private sector employees protesting and striking in support of government workers
I keep reading posts from private sector workers demanding to know why government workers aren't protesting
and striking. Some even go so far as accusing them of being cowards, weak and or lazy because they haven't taken to the streets.
Aside from the legal issues arising from a government worker strike, this raises the question why private sector employees - especially those calling for strikes and protests - aren't taking to the streets.
Why aren't you striking and protesting to demonstrate your support for your government employee brothers and sisters and to show the White House and GOP that Americans are all in this together?
Government employees are suffering. They're already making a huge sacrifice for the cause and are holding on by their fingernails, yet folk who haven't missed a paycheck are telling them to go out and protest, on top of everything else they've got going on in their lives - and sneering at them because they don't.
So to everyone in the private sector who asks why government employees don't protest the shutdown, I ask "Why don't YOU?"

Axios: "Freshman Democrats Balk at Impeaching Trump"
The big picture: There's been a cable news feeding frenzy over the "I" word, fueled in part by freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib's bleep-worthy call for ousting the president. But the reality is that the vast majority of new House Democrats are right in line with their caucus' leadership; they're uninterested in discussing impeachment before special counsel Robert Mueller finishes his work.
Instead, they emphasized aggressive Democratic oversight, including opening investigations into the president, his campaign and his administration.
By the numbers: Of the 64 new House Democrats:
- 48 believe Congress should wait for the Mueller report's release before considering impeachment.
- 7 go a little further, saying that language is "not helpful."
- 6 support impeaching the president.
- 3 have not made clear, on-record statements.
Rep. Al Green of Texas, the first member of Congress to introduce an Article of Impeachment against President Trump in 2017, confirmed this sense of hesitancy to Axios:
"I can assure you that there is far more pressure on people who are supportive of impeachment not to impeach than there is on those who don't favor it to impeach. Exponentially more."

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In an indication that he has reached his breaking point with the Speaker of the House, Donald J. Trump is offering a hundred and thirty thousand dollars to keep Nancy Pelosi quiet, White House aides confirmed on Thursday.
According to those aides, Trump floated the idea of a six-figure payment to silence Pelosi during a closed-door meeting on Wednesday night, in which he asserted that he had done “a million of these deals.”
Trump’s effort to mute Pelosi faces a number of obstacles, however, including the fact that the person who has crafted such agreements for Trump in the past, Michael Cohen, is not available to perform such a service now.
Additionally, any agreement to silence Pelosi could face constitutional hurdles, since one of Pelosi’s principal duties as Speaker is to speak.
