Ew.

Switched over to Cspan and the new press secretary was at the press room podium. Listened for a full ten seconds, long enough to hear her get huffy and snotty while dissing the press. Switched off. Nothing more than a reincarnated SHS. Bleccchhh.

This came to mind

during a committee meeting on zoom today. We were talking about events we've had to cancel, and finding ways to compensate for the resulting shortfall. One of those events is our annual Roosevelt Dinner, and that name is probably what brought this forward. It seemed appropriate as our faces chatted back and forth on the screen...

What the what??

Yes, I know, comcast is evil, but there's no other choice where I am. And cutting the cord is not an option.

So the comcast tech was just here. Checked the lines, the TV, and the cable box; all are fine. Problem? Some channels are pixilating so badly they are unwatchable, audio frequently cuts out along with the picture. Anyway, he says the issue is with broadcasters not keeping up with suddenly higher demand with everyone staying at home. At the moment, MSNBC is just a black screen, CNN is sporadic, Fox (and this is the only instance in which I would say this) is crystal clear, but you'd have to put a gun to my head to make me watch it. Also, no HGTV or similar channels, and I'm really hoping they get Animal Planet fixed soon.

So is this regional? By neighborhood? Anyone else noticing this problem?

And does anyone have an email addy for MSNBC so I can ask them whether or not comcast if fibbing? All I've been able to find is contact info for individual shows.

Yeesh, this is frustrating.

Rachel Maddow is covering my town.

And blasting the county officials who are making our virus numbers so horrendous.

Glad for the coverage, horrified by its necessity.

Help with a bit of research?

Someone who has been floating the rape accusation against Biden just emailed me asking for sources of information about the accuser's credibility or lack thereof. I know there has been considerable discussion on DU, but it didn't occur to me to bookmark any of those pieces. Can someone help me to provide the information to this person? Thanks!
