Watching Senate proceedings on Cspan2 . . . The camera shows the pages sitting along the side of the platform, and on the floor behind them is something that looks like, of all things, a spittoon. Do I need to get my eyes checked?

Got covid, RSV, and flu shots. Happy to report that two mildly sore arms are the only after effect. Whew.

There's an easy fix for the Senate dress code.

Simply require the men to dress like the Founding Fathers — powdered wigs, ruffled shirts, and high heels.

I'd managed to put off watching any of the 9-11 retrospectives, but history is history, so...
Anyway, they'd been showing footage of the towers burning, paper and heavier bits in the air, and the gut-wrenching sight of bodies dropping.
Then they broke for commercial, people dropping from the sky . . . delivering pizza!
Have no idea who is in charge of such scheduling, but that is just damned careless.
