United Flight Blows Tires Upon Landing in Newark, Skids off Runway...(no one hurt)

https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/15/us/newark-airport-plane-skids-off-runway-trnd/index.html

updated, 8:15pm ..ET

CNN) — A United Airlines flight blew out some its tires and skidded on a runway Saturday at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, leading to delays while the plane was towed away, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

No injuries were reported when United Flight 627 -- which originated in Denver -- landed at 1 p.m. on Runway 22 Left, according to the FAA.

None of the 166 passengers on board were taken to hospitals and those with minor injuries refused medical attention, United Airlines said. Damage to the aircraft was being assessed, and the FAA is investigating the incident.

"Preliminary indication is that tires blew out on the left main landing gear as the aircraft was landing

Night and Fog, 32 minutes- Documentary on Nazi Concentration Camps.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0048434/

My review of this film at Internet Movie Data Base, (IMBD)

Night and Fog, 1956, 32 minutes

The Most Powerful Film Ever Made

If you want to describe or give your audience a feeling for the holocaust, or "Man's Inhumanity To Man", then this is the vehicle to use. Show it..be warned, it is so powerful, that you will never forget what you see, neither will any of your viewers. It is impossible to describe, intermixing l955 footage of Auschwitz Concentration Camp, with captured Nazi footage which the allies found at the end of the war, and the scenes of American and British troops liberating the camps...In French, with English subtitles.. and scenes that are unforgettable and horrific. Even the sad music of death from this film plays in my ears, and I have not seen it in 15 years. Once you hear it, you will know.

This is the one to show if you want people to understand the truth of what happened and the reason for its reaction in today's current events....It is shocking in a special way. I showed it to my classes. Students were warned, and told what was coming, they said it would be "nothing" By the end some were crying and moaning in horror...

If you read the first 10 reviews of this film at the site above, you will see that there are a number of reviewers who say this is the most powerful film ever made. Also, the difficulty of watching this movie is repeated over and over in the reviews. It is available to buy or show...It is also most probably available at a public library near where you live. You have been warned. You will never forget this film. 32 minutes, 1956

Pelosi: Trump's comments prove he doesn't 'know right from wrong'

Pelosi: Trump comment is an 'assault on our democracy' 00:44

(CNN) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that President Donald Trump's openness to a foreign government offering damaging information about a political rival is "a very sad thing" and "appalling," pointing to legislation from Democrats calling on campaigns to report foreign offers of assistance.

"The President gave us once again evidence that he does not know right from wrong," she said at her weekly press conference. "It's a very sad thing, a very sad thing that he does not know right from wrong. "She repeated her belief that Trump has participated in "a criminal cover up."

And she mentioned legislation that will mandate campaigns to report foreign offers of assistance.
"It's so self-evident as a matter of ethics but we'll have to codify it," she said.

Trump has defined himself forever. "He will take information from foreign governments,

to defeat opponents and not report it to authorities.." Today he defended himself as he always does. If he had said "I made a mistake in saying that, then he would have gained respect from a lot of people. But he didn't. He never says, "I made a mistake" or "I was totally wrong" or "I was wrong"..etc. etc. He will have to defend himself over and over on this one.
...From his point of view, this makes sense. But this is the stupidest thing he has said lately. As he said, it is not illegal to listen. But it is immoral. He doesn't give a s**t. But many of us do. And many republicans do. And this is beyond normal. This defines him forever....
...Another example: Richard Nixon, "I am not a crook"... but he was. And so is Trump!!!

Donald Trump has angered a lot of people about what he told ABC News:

The President told ABC he'd listen if a foreign government had damaging information about a political opponent -- and wouldn't necessarily report it to the FBI

...That was not the brightest thing to say out loud to ABC News. Why? He is saying that if he could get info illegally from a foreign government, he would take it, and not report it to law enforcement. (FBI) Let's keep it very simple. Donald Trump thinks he is so smart and brilliant that he could get away with obtaining that kind of information. (illegal information) He is so sure of himself..that he could say something like that.

..Now I have observed that over the years there are many honest, brilliant, decent, hard working people in law enforcement. (FBI, Secret Service,United States Marshal Service, local police, military police, etc..the list is endless) A lot of those workers devote their whole lives to catching all types of criminals. For the top leader of the United States to say the above makes those dedicated officers of law very angry. Trump says he would take the information and not report to law enforcement and use it against his opponent. He is saying sure I would take it and..here is HIS HUGE ERORR..".HE WOULDN'T NECESSARILY REPORT IT TO THE FBI."..(law enforcement)

There are many people, tens of thousands, who work in law enforcement and do not like what he said. Those people are offended that the . President could publically say something like that. And some of those workers in law enforcement take that as a challenge to their "integrity" and the integrity of many law enforcement agencies in the U.S.A. The challenge is ..can Donald Trump get away with doing this?..or more important.... Has Donald Trump already tried to get away with breaking laws doing what he just said, not reporting them? .Because of this "challenge" I believe that some leaders in law enforcement will take on Donald Trump and try to prove that .Donald Trump cannot get away with it.

Some leaders in law enforcement will appoint some very sharp and brilliant workers, agents, or cops, (call them what you want ) to show Donald Trump he cannot get away with it. Why? Because those leaders don't want any well known leader to spout out talk like "I can get illegal information, and I can get away with it, and not tell anyone.." The leaders of the FBI, Secret Service, and other agencies throughout government want to prove that this "big mouth" is totally wrong.

Why? That is their job, and that is their life long commitment to catching people who talk like that. Who knows who it will be that will find the info and facts on this loud mouth dope? (D. Trump) But you had better believe that many people in law enforcement take this as a challenge and they will get this loud mouth. That is what they do. These people are not new. They get the crooks plain and simple. That is their job and life long commitment. D Trump does not know who he has challenged. But he will lose. That is a fact. Just the Facts!!

Pritzker has signed Abortion Rights Law, Chicago Tribune:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/politics/ct-met-illinois-abortion-rights-law-governor-jb-pritzker-20190612-story.html

June 12, 8:25am
______________________________________________________________________________________
Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed into law Wednesday morning sweeping new abortion rights legislation, establishing the procedure as a “fundamental right” for women in Illinois.

“In a time when too many states across the nation are taking a step backward, Illinois is taking a giant step forward for women’s health,” Pritzker said in remarks at the Chicago Cultural Center before signing the bill. “Today, we proudly proclaim that in this state, we trust women.”

Illinois lawmakers approved the legislation in the recently ended spring session amid an increased sense of urgency among advocates looking to protect abortion access as a series of states recently passed laws essentially banning the practice.

“I believe, frankly, there’s a war against women’s rights going on,” Sen. Melinda Bush, the Grayslake Democrat who sponsored the bill in the Senate, said at the time.

Bush and Rep. Kelly Cassidy, D-Chicago, were among those standing behind Pritzker as he signed the bill.

The bill establishes the “fundamental right” of a woman to have an abortion and states that a “fertilized egg, embryo or fetus does not have independent rights.” It repeals the Illinois Abortion Law of 1975, doing away with provisions for spousal consent, waiting periods, criminal penalties for physicians who perform abortions and other restrictions on facilities where abortions are performed. A number of those provisions have not been enforced because of court injunctions.

A program Jimmy Carter ordered that has saved tens of thousands of lives.

... Brock Adams (with Carter's approval and support) ordered by 1984 all cars will be equiped with seatbelts. ( I think Carter had checked with the auto manufacturers to see what the earliest this could be done...but I do not know for sure) Also other safety devices on cars were mandated. Crumple zones, back lite in the rear window, (it was proven that that light in the rear window is seen more quickly ) safer roads, etc. (Eventually, side impact air bags were installed, as well as seat belts for all passengers in the back seats.)
... Furtheremore, there is proof positive that these safety belts (and harnesses eventually) saved thousands of lives. Google the link below. When you get to the site, look at the decrease of deaths on the highways due to safty devices added to cars from 1980 on. You will see an incredible 40 percent drop in deaths on the highways, and at the same time, 100,000,000 million more people in the United States....55,000 deaths down to 37,133 in 2017. Hit the link below.. Please note: A DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT ordered this, NOT a republican.
...It is Carter's safety devices on cars that have done this. Carter ordered them. Oh, two more ideas: A). Carter does not brag about this, ever. He is not that kind of person. B.) Do you know anyone who had their lives saved by the seat belts and air bags and other safety devices that were ordered..Carter started this, and he is the one to thank....Hit this link below, and check it out. numbers. Please look for the incredible decline after 1984, and thank you for reading this.:

Michael Cohen's life behind bars - CNN:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/06/politics/michael-cohen-jail-otisville/index.html

CNN) — Michael Cohen was nervous about his new life behind bars. President Donald Trump's former fixer turned star government witness was worried that inmates who supported Trump might bring trouble when he arrived at the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution last month.

Instead, his notoriety has turned him into a celebrity of the cell block. A decade working for the real estate mogul-turned-politician and the scandalous hush money payments made to a former adult film star have become his currency in the new world Cohen has entered, five people familiar with Cohen's experience told CNN.

"I have spoken with him several times over the phone and plan to visit him within the next two weeks," Davis said. "He is in relatively good spirits considering the circumstances. He is the one cheering me up when I talk to him, asking how I'm doing, not the other way around. That's classic Michael Cohen."

He's also getting involved with various programs, including one involving construction, to take advantage of different ways he could gain credit for early release, according to the friend of Cohen's. Cohen is due to be released in December 2021, a year after the next presidential election.

A talking point to "undecided voters" is shown today: Trump made fun of a person dying of cancer.

..How do you get through to moderates or so called "undecided voters"? We all know some who really aren't sure about Trump. Why they are not sure, is not important. What you say to them is important. "The President of the U.S. made fun of someone dying of cancer." Wolff's book claims that Trump did make fun of McCain. White House says Wolff's book is full of lies..Who do you believe?.. Trump is the worst liar in the world.. End of discussion.
..As we try to convince some people to vote for the our candidate in the next election, this is the idea that will make us win. Trump needs to be removed because he is evil. Then the "undecided person" asks, "Can you prove that statement?...Here is the proof. Who will you believe? A person who observed Trump in meetings events: Wolf. Or ...The biggest liar in the world..End of discussion.
... Why? We all know people who have died or are dying from cancer. Making fun of them is "repulsive."
....This single idea will convince some independents who were really thinking of voting for Trump, not to vote, or vote for the democratic candidate. It is a repulsive statement. It is similar to the statement when Trump made fun of the parents of someone who died for our country. And, as we argue about Trump in the next election, we can bring that up also. Something like, "You see, this is not the first time Trump has made fun of people who are dead or dying." Those so called, "independents", (actually Trump supporters) need to be convinced not to vote for this person. Trump is a "repulsive" person. You need proof?
...Here is proof: Trump made fun of a dying person..
..Those of us who are in favor of the democratic candidate, will not stay at home. We will vote against Trump. We must win and get rid of Trump. This could be a key argument to convince some people not to vote for Trump. Convincing some not to vote for Trump, could be enough to vote Trump out.
