Dale Kildee, who represented Flint area in Congress for 36 years, dies at 92

FLINT, MI -- Dale Kildee, who served as the Flint area’s congressman for more than 30 years, has died at age 92.

Kildee, a Democrat, who had the sixth-highest seniority in the U.S. House of Representatives when he announced he would not seek re-election a decade ago, was a former Flint school teacher and the son of an assembly line worker at Buick.

He won his first election to the state House in 1964, was elected to Congress in 1976, and was re-elected 17 straight times.

He died Wednesday, Oct. 13, according to the Kildee family and the office of U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Twp.

Pro-Trump activists could knock on your door asking questions about the 2020 election

Conservative activists are knocking on doors across Michigan to hunt for evidence of “ghost votes” and other alleged “anomalies” used to re-litigate the 2020 election.

A spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State said residents have no obligation to answer questions about how they voted and pointed to 250 statewide audits that affirmed President Joe Biden’s victory. Organizers with Election Integrity Fund and Force said the door-to-door canvassing effort, announced at a Tuesday rally outside the state Capitol, is modeled after a similar attempt in Arizona to discredit the 2020 election.

“The people of Michigan spoke clearly and unequivocally last November,” said Tracy Wimmer, spokesperson for the Michigan Department of State. “Any effort to violate citizens’ privacy or intimidate them by showing up at their doorstep demanding to know how they voted is a desperate attempt to further sow seeds of doubt about election results that were a secure and accurate reflection of the will of the voters.”

Organizers said volunteers are already visiting homes in Oakland and Macomb counties. County Clerks for both counties could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Details On Why Schiff Regrets Asking Mueller To Testify On Russia Probe

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Monday said that he regrets asking former special counsel Robert Mueller to testify before the House Judiciary Committee in 2019 following Mueller’s final report on the Russia probe.

In his upcoming book “Midnight in Washington,” Schiff reportedly wrote that although he sent Mueller a handwritten note asking him to testify in July 2019, he found it “heartbreaking” when the then-special counsel declined or deflected dozens of questions.

“Had I known how much he had changed, I would not have pursued his testimony with such vigor — in fact, I would not have pursued it at all,” Schiff wrote, according to CNN.

Schiff has given a few interviews in recent days expanding on that regret, including last night. Pressed on that revelation in his book during an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Schiff detailed his regrets on requesting Mueller’s testimony when Maddow asked if he thinks someone else should have testified or led the Russia probe.

Smash Mouth singer Steve Harwell threatens fan in wild concert video

Smash Mouth lead singer Steve Harwell went beyond potty mouth during a recent show.

The band performed a concert in upstate New York on Saturday. In a video of the event, Harwell, 54, can be seen slurring his words, threatening the audience and seemingly giving a Nazi salute to the crowd.

TikTok user @doesthisfeelgood caught the wild show during the Big Sip beer fest in Bethel, NY, and the footage has since been making the rounds online.

The clip showed the band having technical issues during the performance as they struggled to play over a seemingly broken PA system.

Harwell could be seen dropping his drinks, swaying back and forth onstage and flipping the bird while cursing multiple times.

“I’ll f—king kill your whole family, I swear to God,” he screamed to one fan in his audience. In another explicit rant to a different audience member, he claimed he would never leave the house if he could masturbate better.
