Mo Brooks says Trump asked him to help rescind 2020 election

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) on Wednesday issued a blistering response to former President Trump's decision to unendorse him in the Alabama Senate race, accusing Trump of asking him to remove President Biden from the White House following the 2020 election despite his protests.
"President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency," Brooks said in a statement. "As a lawyer, I’ve repeatedly advised President Trump that January 6 was the final election contest verdict and neither the U.S. Constitution nor the U.S. Code permit what President Trump asks. Period."
Brooks's statement comes hours after Trump pulled his endorsement of the lawmaker as he runs for an open Senate seat in the state's
Trump in his announcement said Brooks had "hired a new campaign staff who 'brilliantly' convinced him to 'stop talking about the 2020 Election."

US determines Russia has committed war crimes in Ukraine

Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday said the Biden administration has determined Russian forces have committed war crimes in Ukraine.
"Our assessment is based on a careful review of available information from public and intelligence sources. As with any alleged crime, a court of law with jurisdiction over the crime is ultimately responsible for determining criminal guilt in specific cases," Blinken said in a statement.
"The U.S. government will continue to track reports of war crimes and will share information we gather with allies, partners, and international institutions and organizations, as appropriate. We are committed to pursuing accountability using every tool available, including criminal prosecutions," Blinken added.

The Kremlin’s climate envoy and veteran reformer Anatoly Chubais has quit his position and left Russia over his opposition to the war against Ukraine.
A representative for Chubais confirmed that he resigned from his post.
Chubais is in Turkey and doesn't plan to return to Russia.

At some point over the weekend, Rock also sat down for an interview with Carlson and revealed that Donald Trump had solicited his advice on North Korea and ISIS. Meanwhile, Carlson lauded Rock for being “legendary” and “uncancelable.”

Ukrainian punk band Beton win blessing of the Clash to record new version of song to raise funds for support network
The Clash have given their blessing to a new version of their song London Calling by a Ukrainian punk band called Beton. Kyiv Calling, recorded near the frontline, has lyrics that call upon the rest of the world to support the defence of the country from Russian invaders.
All proceeds of what is now billed as a “war anthem” will go to the Free Ukraine Resistance Movement (FURM) to help fund a shared communications system that will alert the population to threats and lobby for international support.
In the last few days the three members of Beton, which means “concrete” in Ukrainian, have rewritten the lyrics to the hit, after being given permission by the Clash’s surviving members, in order to put out a morale-boosting message of resistance and to call on other countries for aid. The new track has been mixed in Los Angeles by the music producer Danny Saber, a former member of Black Grape who has worked with David Bowie and the Rolling Stones. The new lyrics include the lines “The iron age is coming, the curtain’s coming down” and “Kyiv calling to the Nato zone/Forget it, brother, we can’t go it alone”.
Beton’s band members, Bohdan Hrynko, Oleg Hula and Andriy Zholob, recorded Kyiv Calling in a studio in Lviv lastThursday and Friday. A video for the track features footage shot by the band’s friends, family, colleagues and volunteers, and captures some of the recent attacks in towns and cities, from Kharkiv to Kyiv.

Not gonna lie: My enjoyment watching Hirono go in on Hawley might mean I'm soft on violence.
Hirono is the kind of person you don't want sitting next to you at the poker table. Because after a big bluff like Hawley you want the next person to "Fold" and Hirono is all like "Raise."
Also, Hirono asked almost identical questions to ACB. She just didn't do the first ten minutes embarrassing Hawley last hearing.
Anyway, people always sleep on Hirono in these hearings, but she's a lawyer with a Georgetown Law degree and she knows her stuff.

Kid Rock says Donald Trump sought his advice on North Korea and Islamic State
“He wanted to put out a tweet … I don’t like to speak out of school. I hope I’m not. But … the tweet was, and I’m paraphrasing, but it’s like, you know, ‘If you ever joined the caliphate, you know, trying to do this, you’re going to be dead.’
“He goes, ‘What do you think?’ [I said] ‘Awesome. I can’t add any better.’ But then it comes out and it’s … reworded and more political, to look politically correct. And just, ‘be afraid’.”
He also said he and Trump were once “looking at maps. I’m like, you know, like, ‘Am I supposed to be in on this shit?’ Like I make dirty records sometimes. I do.
