A Mississippi hotel lets guests foster dogs during their stay and now more than 60 have found...

Teresa Johnston, Director of Sales at Home2 Suites by Hilton in D'Iberville, Mississippi, noticed that despite all of the amenities available for long term guests something was missing to make guests truly feel at home: pets.

That's when she had the idea to partner with the local humane society to turn the hotel into a foster home for homeless dogs.

Through the program, "Fostering Hope," the hotel takes one foster dog in at a time and allows guests to walk, feed, and babysit the pup during their stay.

If the guest — and, in some cases, the hotel employee — strikes up a special bond, they can adopt the dog right from the hotel. Then the hotel will take in another.

"They were missing something, I could see it, '' Johnston told Insider about her guests. "They were missing home and they were missing animals. I thought, 'why can't we put the two together?'"

JUST IN: @MikeBloomberg here in Miami describes the state is the race this way:
“Joe’s taking votes away from me.”

“I have no intention of dropping out. We are in it to win it,” Bloomberg says

Bloomberg says he doesn’t know if he’ll win any states today, but he says a contested convention is a “democratic process,” describing the path to the nomination as a contested convention after no candidate obtains a majority of delegates

Exclusive: U.S. weighs restrictions at border with Mexico over coronavirus threat

Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration is considering imposing entry restrictions at the U.S.-Mexico border to control the spread of the coronavirus in the United States, according to two U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials.

Mexico’s government said on Friday it had detected three cases of coronavirus infection in three men who had all recently traveled to Italy, making the country the second in Latin America to register the fast-spreading virus.

The concern over containing the virus at the southern U.S. border comes as the Trump administration also weighs possible restrictions on the entry of travelers from South Korea, Italy and Japan.

The White House on Friday ordered the DHS to draft a range of options to respond to outbreaks in those countries, according to one of the officials and a third DHS official, all of whom requested anonymity to discuss the deliberations.

POTUS has told aides that Azar and others have an "alarmist" view of the virus. He has wanted little to do with providing information about it himself, according to multiple officials. But watching others deliver info, he has the impulse to put himself in front of the podium.

Trump got irritated when a (visibly pregnant) reporter from NBC, @HallieJackson, slipped quietly...

At one point during a lengthy pool spray shortly ago in the Cabinet Room, Trump got irritated when a (visibly pregnant) reporter from NBC, @HallieJackson, slipped quietly out of the room.

He said NBC is worse than CNN, and that he made lots of money for NBC with The Apprentice.

He re-upped the attack again soon after, saying it was "pretty pathetic" that the NBC reporter had slipped out of the room.

(I don't know why she left. But reporters had been standing for nearly 90 minutes, either outside the room or in it.)
