RandySF's JournalWalker Backers Mount Effort To Write In Governor's Name in Democratic Recall Primary
In the Wild West political territory that is the Wisconsin recall elections, it seems anything goes.
Therefore, it should probably come as no surprise that some supporters of Gov. Scott Walker have come up with a new plan to thwart efforts to unseat the Republican governor.
Utilizing word-of-mouth and social media, these Walker supporters are encouraging voters across the state to write in the governor as a candidate in the Democratic primary if the recall election moves forward.
It started as a conversation on Facebook, but less than a week ago the page Operation: Write in Scott Walker in Democrat Primary popped up on the social media goliath, giving the movement an established spot on the web.

Komen VP is an anti-gay bigot.
Below is a 2010 interview with former Georgia politician and Komen VP Karen Handel, which focuses on then-candidate Handels positions on gay rights, gay adoption, and gay marriage, just one year prior to her joining Komen in 2011. Almost amusingly, Handel in the beginning of the video attempts to minimalize her association with the Georgia chapter of the L0g Cabin Republicans, the gay Republican group of which she was a dues-paying member, and which actually endorsed her two years running.
Q: You have said that you are youre against gay marriage, right?
A: Mm hm. Absolutely. Marriage is between one man and one woman. And Ive been very very clear about that. And the record is clear about any of the other issues like domestic partner benefits or anything like that. In fact in Fulton, I voted no on domestic partner benefits.
Q: Are you against civil unions for gays?
A: Yes. I think thats not an issue that has come forward in Georgia. We have the constitutional amendment against gay marriage, and I dont want to see any taxpayer funding going toward benefits etcetera for a couple that is not married. In our state and for me, marriage is for one man and one woman.
Q: Why is that?
A: Why is marriage between one man and one woman? (Laughs). Are you serious?
Q: Yes. Well why do you view committed gay relationships as being less legitimate than committed heterosexual relationships?
A: As a Christian, I view relationships and marriage as being between a man and a woman.
Q: But what about the legitimacy of the relationship? Do you have any gay friends? Do you know gay couples?
A: Of course I do. Are we going to spend our whole day talking on this issue?
Q: I want to know how you feel about this.
A: Ive been very clear. And you know, as a Christian, marriage is between a man and a woman. I do not think that gay relationships are they are not what God intended. And thats just my viewpoint on it. Others might disagree with that. But I would also hope that if you look at what is happening in our state, weve got issues we need to be focused on in Georgia. We have a constitutional amendment against gay marriage. And its something that I supported wholeheartedly. We have that, and lets get dealing with the other issues that we also need to deal with in Georgia. And the press can help with that. (Laughs).

Phil Gingrey walks out on Barack Obama’s prayer address
A spokeswoman for U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey confirmed this afternoon that the Marietta Republican walked out of President Barack Obamas address at the annual National Prayer Breakfast, offended by what the congressman said was an injection of political rhetoric into an occasion of non-partisan reflection.
He was glad that the president attended, but he felt that there were 364 days in a year to give a speech on your policies or campaign rhetoric, said Gingrey spokeswoman Jen Talaber.
She said Gingrey enjoyed the remarks by the events keynote speaker, conservative author Eric Metaxes, who was in South Carolina last month campaigning with GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum.

Trump to endorse Romney at the worst possible time.
After yesterday's remark that he's not worried about the very poor, the last thing Mittens should want is an endorsement by Donald Trump.
Huckabee: Romney was only opponent to not call on the night of 2008 Iowa caucus.
According to Mike Huckabee, Romney was the only one of the major contenders for the GOP nomination in 2008 not to call on caucus night in 2008, when Huckabee won the victory over Romney that was seen as blunting Romneys momentum against John McCain. The race was an ugly one at times, and Romney took some blows. And, according to Huckabee, he never picked up the phone afterwards.
Huckabee then goes on to recount going on stage to give his acceptance speech despite the snub from Romney. Some contemporaneous accounts of the evening found on NEXIS Wednesday backed up Huckabees telling that he got calls from McCain and Rudy Giuliani before going on stage but dont mention a Romney call specifically.
Last night, the Romney campaign noted both that Gingrich had failed to call after Romney beat him in New Hampshire and that Romney had called Gingrich in South Carolina after Gingrich won, perhaps trying to avoid another book passage like the one from Huckabee.

Romney family dog ran away after drive to Canada.
Mitt Romney may not have told the whole truth about the scandalous tale of his Irish Setter, Seamus, being strapped to the roof of his car during a 12-hour family road trip to Canada. According to a trusted Politicker tipster, two of Mr. Romneys sons had an off-record conversation with reporters where they revealed the dog ran away when they reached their destination on that infamous journey in 1983.
Mr. Romneys wife, Ann, has previously said Seamus survived the trip and went on to live to a ripe old age. As of this writing, Mr. Romneys campaign has not responded to multiple requests for comment on this story.
