Romney and Santorum almost split Wyoming delegates 50/50

Based on results compiled and released by the Wyoming Republican Party, Romney won 39% of the votes cast in straw polls conducted at county-level caucuses through Tuesday.

Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania came in second with 33% of the straw-poll vote, followed by U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas with 20% and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich with 8%.

The delegate count may be closer. Of the 26 delegates at stake, CNN estimates Romney will pick up 10 delegates, while Santorum will take in nine delegates, Paul will receive six and Gingrich one.

Chief U.S. District Judge sends racially charged email about president

HELENA — Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull on Wednesday admitted to sending a racially charged email about President Barack Obama from his courthouse chambers.

Cebull, of Billings, was nominated by former President George W. Bush and received his commission in 2001 and has served as chief judge for the District of Montana since 2008.

The subject line of the email, which Cebull sent from his official courthouse email address on Feb. 20 at 3:42 p.m., reads: "A MOM'S MEMORY."

The forwarded text reads as follow:

"Normally I don't send or forward a lot of these, but even by my standards, it was a bit touching. I want all of my friends to feel what I felt when I read this. Hope it touches your heart like it did mine.

"A little boy said to his mother; 'Mommy, how come I'm black and you're white?'" the email joke reads. "His mother replied, 'Don't even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you're lucky you don't bark!'"

Son might be going into combined class next year.

Our son will be heading to years grade this August and he might be sharing a combined class with 2nd graders. He should be ok emotionally as he just turned 6 and will know a lot of the 2nd graders from after-school, his pre school days and the neighborhood. But I am not sure this will be good for him academically. Anyway, I wondered if someone might have similar experiences to share before I "set my hair on fire".

Santorum could take more Michigan delegates than Romney.

With 26 of the state's 30 delegates decided, Romney and Santorum each have 13, according to the Associated Press. Michigan awards most of its delegates based on results in each of its 14 congressional districts — handing out two for winning each district.

But results were incomplete in the final two congressional districts as of midday Wednesday. With 98 percent of the precincts reporting, Santorum had a slight edge in both. If his lead holds in both districts, Santorum would win a majority of the state's delegates, or 17 to Romney's 13.

Santorum's campaign believes he tied Romney in winning seven congressional seats, for a total of 14 delegates. Adding one apiece from the statewide total, Yob predicts a 15-15 delegate split in Michigan.

The Michigan GOP and Romney's campaign, however, point out the results have not yet been settled. Also there's disagreement between the camps whether the two statewide delegates are split or whether both go to Romney.

Final numbers are Romney 41 Santorum 40 Paul 12 Gingrich 7

We tried to take into consideration how Dems decided to vote in this Primary. My boots on the ground say as many as 12% could end up being Democratic

Voting is still going on and obviously their are variables our sample size has not factored in

Thanks for joining us. Super tuesday we will have all day coverage

Olympia Snowe's departure is good AND bad news.

You know by now that Olympia Snowe will not seek reelection this year. It may be good news in that it's a pick-up opportunity, but it's bad news in that it is a must-win for us. Any Republican who replaces her will certainly be more conservative.
