Exit Poll: 45% of Ohio voters are evangelical Christians.

About 45% of voters in Ohio identified as white evangelical Christians, per exit polls. That figure was 40% in 2008.

Low turnout in Ohio thus far.

Just reported on MSNBC. Sounds like the Republican are unhappy with the field, resigned to Willradmentum, or a combination of both.

Ann Romney: ‘I Don’t Even Consider Myself Wealthy’

Apparently “Romneying” — defined as “accidentally bragging about your place high up in the economic stratosphere” — runs in the family.
His wife, Ann Romney, inexplicably talked about her wealth this afternoon during an interview on Fox News. “We can be poor in spirit, and I don’t even consider myself wealthy, which is an interesting thing, it can be here today and gone tomorrow,” she said.

The couple made $20.9 million last year, making more in a day than an average American makes in a year, and are worth about $250 million overall.
From discussing his NASCAR team-owning friends, to saying he likes firing people, to bragging about Ann’s two Cadillacs, Mitt also has a problem with accidentally and inappropriately touting his enourmous wealth.

KSFO's JD Hayworth Tells Rush Limbaugh's Advertisers "We'd Love to Have You Over Here"

Former congressman JD Hayworth hosts the most gentlemanly three hours in conservative talk radio, twinkling warmly over the 9 a.m.-to-noon shift at KSFO 560 with all the fire and fury of the avuncular God up in the stars at the opening of It's a Wonderful Life. He chats up the issues of the day, of course, and purports to be annoyed at liberals, but he only really seems excited when sharing anecdotes about his days in D.C.

This morning Hayworth addressed the controversy over Rush Limbaugh calling Sandra Fluke a slut. This is interesting because Hayworth -- like many Republican congressmen of the Clinton era -- has over the years considered Limbaugh a friend, and because Hayworth's own show is on in Limbaugh's old KSFO slot. The station booted Limbaugh in January, and he now vents and stammers at NewsTalk 910 at the same time that Hayworth is being agreeable. Hayworth and Rush are now competitors. Hayworth dedicated the 10 o'clock hour to Limbaugh. While trying his damnedest not to say anything controversial, Hayworth did make a joking pitch for Limbaugh's errant advertisers, saying: "We'd love to have you over here."

He preceded this by noting the irony of "market forces" having their way with Limbaug and, quite softly, noting all the usual conservative complaints about this whole imbroglio: That Fluke's an activist, that Nancy Pelosi set up a stunt hearing, that Bill Maher and Ed Schulz have used sexist language, too.

Kasich stands by decision to not seek federal aid

Ohio officials Sunday defended the decision by Gov. John Kasich to not request federal disaster aid for Ohio towns ravaged by tornadoes Friday.

In a statement, Kasich’s press secretary, Rob Nichols, said that local and state agencies appear to be able to take care of the cleanup in hard-hit areas, such as Moscow and Bethel. But if the damage turns out to be worse than it appears, or if additional storms strike, Kasich reserves the right to ask the federal government for personnel or equipment, the statement said.

“The fact that we don’t need the feds in is wonderful news,” Nichols said in an interview.

Dozens of state agencies, including the Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Health are working with impacted counties to complete a damage assessment, said Tamara McBride, branch chief of the Emergency Management Agency’s public affairs office. The assessment – which includes a tally of how many homes and businesses were destroyed and how many were insured – likely will be completed by midweek, she said.

Is this the worst thing Breitbert had on Obama?

In The Audacity of Hope, Barack Obama claims that he worried after 9/11 that his name, so similar to that of Osama bin Laden, might harm his political career.

But Obama was not always so worried about misspellings and radical resemblances. He may even have cultivated them as he cast himself as Chicago’s radical champion.

In 1998, a small Chicago theater company staged a play titled The Love Song of Saul Alinsky, dedicated to the life and politics of the radical community organizer whose methods Obama had practiced and taught on Chicago’s South Side.

Obama was not only in the audience, but also took the stage after one performance, participating in a panel discussion that was advertised in the poster for the play.
